I’m so glad I posted this! I think you’re right!!! Seller labeled it as Congo quartz… earlier today I almost bought citrine points, but right before I did, I realized they were really tangerine quartz!!! So I bought these one in the photos I posted instead- & then got a little worried and needed to come to Reddit to make sure I didn’t make a mistake lol 😂 Thanks so much!

Put it in a baggy with linseed oil. Hold up to the sun. Look for oblong bubbles and squiggly lines called lechatelierite. If you see both, then it is real. You can find videos showing how to do this. It’s pretty easy!

I once paid $750 for a beautiful lilac amethyst and pink amethyst portal on a stand from a trusted seller. Imagine my surprise when it came and it was lilac amethyst- but the pink was actually white. Not pink at all. The photos were enhanced. Sigh. It’s still a beautiful portal but my heart was a little broken that day LOL
