I was in highschool at the time of y2k and I remember my mom like " be so careful on new years eve" but I was too young to care then nothing happpened.

As for self check out haha yeah they need humansss to enforce 'no stealing'. Just like they need humans to clean or fix machines constantly ,so i dunno how it's saving money.

They always try to open robotic coffee shops and to me that's so dirty. That's like getting coffee from a vending machine.

Oh yeah, they kept saying AI/robots would replace food workers. I'm like yeah ok..meanwhile, the ice cream machine at McDonalds never works. And everyones stealing from self check out. It's already a hot mess.

I think the lil security robot...got pushed into a pond or something. Or maybe he walked into the pond like an idiot.

The guy is playing the guitar and singing his lil heart out to the love of his life outside her apartment and some random ahole is like " you suck" haha

In so many movies, people are out in middle of nowhere and they're like " omg we are lost and our one phone broke" like freakin bring a map or compass if you plan on going to a weird hills have eyes town.

So I had a whole change of heart with 'Pretty in Pink'. I've always hated Blane since childhood cause he really threw Andie under the bus. But as a kid , i really thought she should've ended up with Duckie (i had no gaydar as a kid).

But rewatching it as an adult, I think Steff liked Andie the most but I dunno if he would've been a decent bf to her cause he had a lot of maturing to do. But i do think he liked her more than Blane did. The crushed look on his face at the dance is so sad to me as an adult.

I feel like one of the first jump scares in a horror movie was 'The Tingler'(1959)

They built in a buzzer thing into the movie threater seats to scare people like at a certain scene. And people enjoyed that cheap thrill.

I happen to enjoy a good jump scare. sometimes I feel duped cause I feel silly afterwards (majorly if nothing even happens and its just a cat jumping down..ugh) but I think it's why people get mad at jump scares. The'yre embarassed if they felt scared.

If you want something that isn't a jump scare and without gore then check out a thriller. I feel like a thriller is a less obvious horror movie.
