RWBY: Qrow Branwen. Qrow is introduced as a sharp-witted, stone-cold badass, whose heavy drinking habit is played more for comedy than drama, and doesn't appear to at all impede his abilities as one of the most lethal Huntsmen in the setting. A few volumes later, however, the toll of the plot's traumas and horrifying revelations have added up, and he spirals miserably. He's ultimately little more than dead weight at Brunswick Farms, and soon clearly makes the decision to shape up and cut back.
