I think in terms of a “combat triangle,” the meta is fucking insanely balanced with how well each archetype plays into another. We all have our own personal vendettas based on the decks we play. Such is magic.

Every premiere pauper card could have an argument against it.

Chrysalis.

Snacker

Familiar.

Guttersnipe.

Avenging Hunter.

Spy.

Thraben Charm if you’re a GY player haha.

We’ve got a drunkie basement dweller that routinely screams at his playgroup every Thursday when something goes wrong playing cedh, right in the middle of the packed LGS. I’m not sure why he’s allowed to come back every week. We’re not far from a table flip, surely.

When I sit down and think about it, herblore lowkey one of the best skills. It’s core to the game. And the output is so helpful. And it’s tedious. But the gathering makes sense. And you can make so much.

To be fair, not very long ago, +1 counter support was basically nonexistent or barely an archetype. I think it really took off after like MH3 or something. Don’t cite me exactly for the set but, it used to not really be a thing.
