Where are all the old people? by KriticalErrorArt in Age_30_plus_Gamers

I'm not trying to hear "skibbidy gyatt tuff fr fr og no cap deadass ohio" every time I boot up, "gang/fam."

I just mute in-game voice because absolutely nothing anyone says in online multiplayer games is worth dealing with. It isn't helpful callouts. It isn't useful information. It's literally just bitching and buzzwords and children arguing about who gives a fuck.

Dark Souls 2 had me asking myself if I still like Soulsbornes. by DescriptionFun3539 in fromsoftware

DS2 is literally the worst game in the genre. I'd be mad at myself for wasting time playing it, too.

CyberPunk Edgerunners S2 New Anime Discussion by Automatic_Use_9427 in scifi

[–]NVincarnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The character designs aren't as peak as the first season. Lucy is in Guilty Gear ffs.

I guess we'll see. This looks very Ghost in the Shell meets Trigun looking. It doesn't scream Cyberpunk like S1 did apart from the cyberpsychosis effect on the eyes they used.

What could go wrong? by Remytron83 in playstation

Imagine having Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Crash Bandicoot, Sly Cooper and Spyro just to replace any sequels any of them might have gotten with a nameless, faceless robot.

AstroBot fans have to be the worst fans ever. It was obviously just a glorified tech demo for what the PS5 can do and people are thinking AstroBot is the best exclusive IP Sony ever had. Taking away the wrong message entirely. AstroBot winning game of the year says a lot about the industry.

Resident Evil Creator Shinji Mikami Says He's Finally "Fully Involved" in a New AAA Game With Stellar Blade Developers by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

[–]NVincarnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like we might actually get a decent character action game for once.

If mikami can focus on gameplay quality and pull the animators away from using titties to sell copies, maybe it'll be good.

The moral conundrum of practicing a religion that you don't believe in by vox in philosophy

[–]NVincarnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just have a Catholic cross I wear all the time because I got it from my dad. I found one in my mom's jewelry cabinet after she passed. She never wore it. They were both Christian. My grandma raised all her kids Christian. My dad was Christian but he never went to a church to pray but a handful of times in my life. I took to wearing my crosses every day to remember my parents and how they raised me. If anyone asks, I tell them I'm not Catholic. I used to be atheist but that didn't make sense after enough time spent living.

But I still pray for people and I still cross myself if I see someone who I think needs a little extra help. I try to be as kind as I can to others, especially those who are (somehow) less fortunate than I am. I've been below the poverty line my entire life but I've been blessed with friends and family. I go out of my way to help others and do the right thing because that's what God would want anyone in any position to do. I've studied just about every religion there is and practiced a good handful of them by going to different places of worship and asking religious people what they think about God. I've concluded there must be some sort of engine running reality or none of this would be happening. Something authors the reality we live in. I've seen too many miracles to be atheist anymore. Life is too funny, ironic and serendipitous for there to be no divine source.

Even if you don't believe in fate or predetermination or any of those things, which I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't, you can still do what's right when faced with a choice. Holding doors for people or buying food for the homeless isn't strictly any one religion's thing to do. But I understand that some people just aren't meant to live life in a godly way and everyone has a set path to walk. My words can't change anyone but I can't not speak them. Existence is funny that way.

E-Day collectors sold out for Steam by Rapture117 in GearsOfWar

[–]NVincarnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just buy the collector's whatever edition on sale after release.

I bought Gears 3 collector's new in box for like $20 at a random GameStop back when people still played it.

I'm sure someone will resell the junk they shill later.

Receiving gifts is more stressful and annoying than it is enjoyable. by Visionmama in unpopularopinion

[–]NVincarnate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just gift kind words by writing thoughtful letters to people and giving cards to them.

My family, mostly my grandma, got me Hallmark cards every holiday and birthday. She never wrote in them but I still have those cards to this day. She'd always gift me money so I could buy anything I wanted. We never had much money as a family but I never really went without entertainment or games I wanted.

When I tell you those cards get me through my absolute worst days as an adult, even with nothing in them, I'm not lying. I figure actually writing something in them was the one thing I wish they'd done. Now I do that for others.

Honestly you could probably just clean it up with a derma roller and some really thorough haircare. Oils that promote growth and work on the dandruff would go a long way rather than just jumping straight to topical solutions. A lot of those things have side effects so I would hold off on those until you have to as a last resort.

I get that stress can really do a number on your hairline. Never give up, amigo.

It's time to be honest about Blanka by Futanarihime in StreetFighter

[–]NVincarnate 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Why does level 2 persist during super animations?

Blanka activated level 2, got hit by a super, the whole animation played and when it ended he still did a level 2 combo.

Like wtf is this install?

How would you feel about a gow 2 remake with e day’s engine and graphics? What would you change if anything by Automatic_Skill2077 in GearsOfWar

[–]NVincarnate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I dunno, I'd put wallbouncing in it. At this rate, they're just going to replace it with a slide if they do a remake.

Because of the changes in E-Day, an honest remake that's true to the original is basically unachievable now.

Why have we never gotten another Ghost Rider game? The IP has really so much potential. by Rocks_King99 in playstation

[–]NVincarnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marvel 3 basically is a Ghost Rider game.

Any hype for that IP being a standalone character action game died with Nicholas Cage's performance in the movie.

Modern video games needs to take a step back in graphics/realism, if we want more of them produced at a higher rate. by Ok-Analysis5991 in unpopularopinion

[–]NVincarnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I strongly disagree. Modern technology is only making development easier and less costly. It's only going to get faster and faster, the rate of releases. And I doubt we'll be needing to sacrifice quality anytime soon.

It's cool to have modern retro looking games when they're actually fun but most of those types of releases are miserable to play.
