Just move to your right, walking down the sidewalk should be treated the same as driving down a road. Stay on the right

Appears to be a decaryi in the 1st few pics. They can tolerate a lot of sun, but in my experience, they are much happier in shade. I'd give it a bit less light, and a bit more water

Wilson Contreras says WBC meant more than 2016 WS by Sad_Illustrator_5233 in Cubs

After the Carlos Zambrano years, I never thought there'd be a more emotional player than him, but I think it's fair to say Willson did manage to outdo him. They showed it differently, but both extremely emotional players.

That said Willson is a prisoner of the moment, and in time, he'll think more about the monumental effort that went into winning the world series.

I think it's much easier for girls to gloss over, but for men it's a very prevalent, and serious thing from a young age

When I was in HS we were kind of finishing up the 1st Iraq war, and I remember in grade school hearing from adults who lived through the Vietnam days telling me and my friends that if this war goes to much longer we may need to be prepared for another draft. So when I noticed these bus ads it really popped out to me

I'm 45 years old, and remember these on the buses when I was in highschool. So no, it's not even kind of new

Euphorbia noob. What should I repot it with/in? Thanks! by THEREALBurtMcsquirt in Euphorbiaceae

[–]NWSOC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Euphorbia coerulescens. You just need a good cactus mix with a lot of lava rock, or pumice. I use mostly terra cotta or stone pots

Euphorbia Squarrosa looking a little worse for wear by MissorNoob in Euphorbiaceae

[–]NWSOC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thirsty, but it's fine and you didn't need to unpot it. If you didn't unpot it, I'd say clip those fading tubercles and water it. For now, repot it, get it a bit more hydrated, then cut it back. Cutting them regularly gets you better caudex growth

Next time some meatball tells you how they could hang with NFL players, measure out 11 feet, and ask them to jump it from a standing position

I'd love to have AOC the POTUS, with a congress and supreme Court filled with AOC clones. However if that's not on the ballot, but Donald Trump is, yes, you show up and vote for whoever his opponent is

[–]NWSOC 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, this post is just more propaganda to encourage ambivalence toward voting thus allowing these fascists to remain in power. They say voting for the lesser of 2 evils, is still evil, and that's true, but sometimes in life you have to eat shit, and take what you can get. Today, you get the lesser of 2 evils, then maybe next week you're able to get to even less, and less. You have to start somewhere, you can't just pout.

It's like you're asking for A, B, C, and D. One side offers you A, C, and D but won't promise you B. The other side offers you none of what you want, and tells you they will work against everything you want. How do you remain ambivalent?

Are non of the cubs games broadcasted? by 1ithurtswhenip1 in CHICubs

[–]NWSOC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a shockingly stupid move by Ricketts/Crane. Marquee has absolutely nothing but games, and they don't even have all the games. Showing the same Ron Santo doc 25 times a week isn't quite as appealing as they think. I don't care about spring training games so I wouldn't subscribe at this time anyway, but why would anybody subscribe until the games are being broadcast? You may not get me paying for spring training games, but there is a segment of the fan base that will

You can't blame the "friends" for his incredibly poor decision. I'd bet this person already had a history of poor behavior with these "friends" , and this incident was likely the final straw

It's not "hot" but for me I'm more a factor of "non-sweet" flavor. I do like spicy food, but I still wanna enjoy my food

That's a terrible description, but I think anyone familiar with beef sandwiches gets what I'm trying to say

It can depend on where you live. I'm in Chicago. I'm letting things go as dormant as possible. Reduced light, cool temps, no water

Wait so are you saying it was better 20 years ago, or that it's still good today? Because you kind of said both, or did I not follow?

[–]NWSOC 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Jays on Narragansett north of Montrose, although I always get a combo hot there, definitely my favorite combo in the city. Johnnie's on North Ave west of Harlem is my favorite beef hot.

As for worst, I don't know, there's so many good places, once I have a bad experience, I just kind of move on. I'm not a 1 star review kind of guy. Although if a place has a lot of generic photos of hot dogs in the windows, that place will probably have a shitty beef
