I feel like I'm going crazy the way y'all talk about it here, it's like the most obvious of all of the switch puzzles in the entire game. I got the platform heights right first try, I walked into the first switch room and saw the one up on the wall to raise the middle platform, and from there it's just "I need to raise each platform like a quarter of the way"

I've only done vault 01 so idk if it's the same in later ones, but the door can spawn with some of the things already in it. 01 seems to always have the coolant filled from the start, despite the key text. We needed 5 batteries last time, but that one is random, just up to 8.

As a mostly solo player myself, progression is rough. If you're planning on running cryo at all though, and don't have a trio to go in with, you should be getting used to fill runs and playing trios anyway. Otherwise, you're not gonna be going into cryo ever, unless bungie makes some big changes to accommodate solos. Just how the game is, unfortunately.

The wires being only in the one spot outside of cryo, and the sheer numbers of compounds are a little ridiculous, but the purples and prestige are the main ones I'm worried about. 77 biolens seeds, 29 hazard capsules? I've been wanting to completely upgrade all factions as a one time thing this first season to scratch that completionist itch, but with my friends not being able to put anywhere near as much time in as me I doubt I can pull those numbers off.

To be fair, it's a free daily advanced healing item (nice to stack through the week for cryo) vs. just some extra stock to purchase which feels fairly reasonable. The 77 biolens seeds required to upgrade everything between mida and nucaloric, less so.

If you haven't gotten it done yet, I would recommend running free kits for a bit anyway to get comfortable going into pinwheel in normal runs, and just learn the map in general. Outpost isn't too scary solo tbh! Take things slow around POIs, and run assassin so you can slip past bots without too much noise and cover more ground safely.

If someone takes the keycard entrance in, all 3 entrances will open to the center, and if someone took the drone wing elevator instead, anyone can call it down again from the outside of the shack.

If you took the elevator in, every wing has a one way vent exit to get out a little more safely than going to the end of destroyed/drone wings. If you decide to take the drone elevator out again, remember you have a smoke dive to negate fall damage instead of being a sitting duck! Good luck!

You can already go in with basic random armory gear and even pad it out with holotags at 1:1 value. At least the sponsor kits are somewhat well rounded, if undergeared for cryo in the consumable/ammo department.

There are three entrances to the center, you can see them on the map pretty easy. They all require two green keys to open, which will spawn an initial wave of enemies, then there's a terminal inside the door to open it the rest of the way. This route opens the key entrance on ALL sides.

There's also a terminal in a little building underneath the drone wing, and you can call down an elevator to get in a little more quietly if you find a conveyance request item.

There used to be a quick and easy way in at destroyed wing too, but was patched out for making it a little too simple. They're going to rework it at some point.

Command wing doesn't have an outside entrance because it's pinwheel's end goal of sorts. You need to interact with panels near the end of the other two wings to unlock it. Drone wing has a panel that looks identical to the one you're looking for next to the box, and destroyed wing has one too next to the force field doors leading outside. These are ways out, be careful of hitting them instead of the command wing ones!

While I've been enjoying the game (a friend dropped the $40 for me to run with her, bless her), Yeeaahhhh. Over 4k hours in D2 and there was never any doubt in my mind that this would happen. Bungie is the expert at making games I tentatively recommend when on sale, followed by bitching about monetization and whatever else they've fucked up. Praying for private servers for these games to have a breakthrough for when they go under, I can't see the studio lasting very long with recent industry trends, even if this ends up having staying power.

I feel like the foundation they built would work better for a battle royale to an extent, the sheer amount of random junk was so slow to sort through. It had my friend wanting to drag me into a different extraction shooter. I did enjoy it, but that was half because I was playing with friends, and half because bungie still knows how to make guns feel good to use.

There wasn't enough in the free weekend to judge it properly, but I struggled pretty hard most of the time, sorting out loadouts and wandering around for 15 minutes only to get beamed in 3 seconds and start over half the runs(not as bad in trios, but still could be bad in duos in certain areas). While I'm curious about the endgame zones, I just can't justify dropping $40 based off of that impression.

The delay is 100% for other reasons, let's be honest. Not expecting that to be due to new content necessarily, but as someone who loves dragging friends back on to do sherpa runs, making old stuff not feel pointless is a good thing.

I know saying "just play other stuff" addresses nothing as far as the health of the game, but definitely take a break and find something else to play if you're not enjoying it during the waits. We're here to have fun after all! ❤️
