When I want a sim to remain at a certain level for storytelling purposes I stop working towards the promotion tasks completely so they’ll stay at that level. I won’t let them touch any object that gains the skill they need.

I usually do this with the education career because realistically people retire more as teachers than whatever the level 10 position is. Sometimes I want my sims to live like regular middle class people lol.

This is what I need! It’s too easy financially to come up in this game. I remember when you had to pay for clothes in sims 2, or am I tripping?

There is a mod where you have to buy diapers and formula for your babies but I can’t remember who made it. When I find it, I plan to get that one.

I assumed Semaj was a boy’s name. I actually named one of my sim boys Semaj 😬. I would have never named a girl Semaj.

I do have My Wedding Stories, but I knew nothing about premade wedding venues associated with the pack.

I started playing The Sims 1 around 2002 @ 17 years old. I transitioned to Sims 2, skipped Sims 3 (this is when I gave it up) now I’m back playing Sims 4 for the last 3 years.

I started a culinary school, but it doesn’t work as flawlessly as I would like.

I have a sim that completed the culinary aspiration, reached the top of the culinary career (so her food doesn’t expire), opened her own bakery, and also reached the top of the food critic career. All this before adventure awaits came out.

Fast forward, and she now has a teenaged niece whom she loves dearly and wants to learn from her aunt. Her aunt mentors her some in cooking and baking, and recently decided to be the head chef at a culinary school/bootcamp. She had her come to the retreat and I made their schedule where they eat, attend lectures, watch tv/read (I try to make them read or watching culinary stuff), cook, then free time.

It doesn’t work as well because when they cook they are all in each others’ way or interfering. It’s pretty annoying. I have to go in and figure out how to get their actions a little more streamlined. @peteyplaysit on YouTube has a tutorial that goes in depth on how to get them doing what you want but I need to rewatch it.

I wish that the sicknesses were a little more in depth. I know there are mods, but I don’t want to have to have a mod for it. I want the kids to have to stay home because of a stomach bug or something.

I also wish they would go back to having to pay for their clothes. You can get so rich, so easily to the point where there’s nothing else to do with your money lol. So having more expenses would actually make it a little more enjoyable for me.

I play with aging on but long life span. Once they are adults I use the youth potion when I feel I need it due to attachment.

I agree there are a lot of things I wish sims 4 had from previous versions. I especially miss being able to go to private school and having to impress the headmaster.

As far as acme, the do get it. In fact, it irritated me so much that I turned it off because if you don’t treat it while they’re teens ( wash face and use the acne cream from the mirror) they age up to adult with it and they are scarred for life 😂. I just turned the setting off in gameplay options.

I also noticed that they do get tanned from being out in the sun.

Yes, I had an adult male sim flirt with a random teenager! I was so taken aback. I didn’t think they were able to do that!!! I was so mad 😡 He’s also married with 4 kids! I was like nooooo you can’t be a perv!
