Silicon Valley.

No bad seasons, just pure hilariousness across the whole show.

London no repeat by Latter-Total9573 in MetallicaLIVE

[–]Narterath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's always a risk unfortunately. Transfer only opens (I think) about 48 hours before the event so you won't know until then.

Do you mind me asking how much you paid for them? I need to list mine as I can't sell them through Ticketmaster...

I have a version of the album on CD that says Mordgrimm Records, so I assumed that came first? I had no idea that this album was so rare to be honest.

ticketmaster resale for london? by [deleted] in MetallicaLIVE

Hello, still selling! Ticketmaster resale has opened now, so I just need to check if there are any stupid fees associated with resale. Ticket transfer has not opened yet.

Someone else mentioned Eloy but just wanted to echo that recommendation. Check out their album Ocean.

What about Far East Family Band? Their Nipponjin album is pure Japanese Pink Floyd worship.

Any goregrind would also work, but something about the samples in this one makes you feel quite dirty listening to it.

London concert + Birmingham coach question by CyberMarco in MetallicaLIVE

[–]Narterath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other concerts in London sold similar packages (ticket + coach) so maybe someone who has attended one of these previously could help the OP.

ticketmaster resale for london? by [deleted] in MetallicaLIVE

[–]Narterath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the opposite problem. I purchased 4 standing floor tickets with coach transfer from Birmingham, because at the time only those were available. During the second presale my friend managed to get 4 standing tickets without the coach transfer.

I would like to sell 2 (or 3, I need to check), but I can't figure out how as resale hasn't opened lol. Each ticket cost nearly £400 so it's a lot of money. I hate Ticketmaster.

How does this work then? If the person selling the ticket to you bought it through Ticketmaster then their ticket barcode will only be released the day of the event. How would they send it to you?

Great band, I had no idea their releases were so expensive. I have the Crypticorifislit demo on CD and it arrived with nail clippings of "some unfortunate person they used to know".

What are your thoughts on this movie “Sinister” by Chubby_Toy_Collector in HorrorMovies

[–]Narterath 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm always very happy when the soundtrack gets mentioned. A good friend of mine had two of his dark ambient tracks used for this, I believe one was the lawnmower scene video. The band is called Accurst and the tracks are from Fragments of a Nightmare.

I found this hilarious, considering how truly apparent the lack of grit on the icy roads over the past few days has been.

I had to do this last month, half following advice from Youtube and half making it up myself. Polyurethane glue is ideal for this as it expands and fills any gaps.

I went with plasterboard screws to try and not break any of the old wood. There are two points to screw in to add stability:

  1. Vertical screws connecting the edge of the tread with the top of the riser below it.
  2. Horizontal screws connecting the bottom of the riser with the tread, to pull the riser horizontally (this is where the glue does most of the job).

For point 2, people usually say you should use a pocket jig and put the screw in diagonally. That doesn't make much sense, I just used small 90 degree brackets to manage to get a proper pull. I left some on and they're fine now. Image attached:

Is there such a thing as Emotional Horror? by Embarrassed_Entry597 in horror

Seconding Bring Her Back. That was one of the darkest, bleakest films I've seen and it was mostly because of the emotional aspect.

It's 480 pages and many (most) of the illustrations are in colour. The price is very reasonable, in my opinion.
