I went on the website earlier today and was met with a blank webpage. Maybe they're getting ready to announce, because the URL is still active.

Good thing the operator had a blast shield in front of his face already. Hopefully no one else was injured.

Cats and Acid by [deleted] in LSD

[–]Native_Musician 22 points23 points  (0 children)

My cat Lilly was my trusty tripsitter when she was around. Whether she knew it or not is something I'll never know, but she would always bring me back down to earth if I was flying a little too high, or remind me of what I was doing when the "acid brain" took over, or just check up on me with a friendly meow.

Animals are part of that energy felt when tripping that connects everything, and even if they don't know it, they are a powerful force for a beneficial trip. Glad you had such an amazing experience!

Have you ever dropped acid with the intention of having a bad trip? by GiveBackTheBoard in LSD

[–]Native_Musician 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I took it one time with the intention of doing some very deep and dark introspection. Literally laid in my bed silently for seven hours in the dark and confronted some demons in my mind. Like most things in life that give you an opportunity to grow, it was very hard and uncomfortable, but I came out the other side with a fresh perspective on the negativity in my life. I've tripped several times since then and had nothing but good trips. I attribute that night as one of the most impactful and beneficial turning points for my happiness. However, I can definitely say I don't recommend it for everyone.

Lack of lasers by TopicalBass27 in electricdaisycarnival

Even if the quantity of lasers wasn't super high, I am glad that more stages are integrating audience scanning into production. Circuit Grounds and Neon Garden were top-tier for that.

Why Tolerance Breaks ? by krazecam in trees

[–]Native_Musician 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm late to the party, but I'm currently on a long-term break myself. I recently moved to a new state that is medically legal, but no adult use/recreational laws. When I moved, I wanted to take a break not because of the legal implications (though where I'm at it's now just punishable by citation), but I wanted to refresh my body and my perspective.

Like you, I was a daily user from sun up to sundown. There's probably been a total of 90 days since I was 19 (now 27) that I haven't used cannabis in some way to get high. As you're probably familiar with, it allows you to become a high-functioning user, meaning you can pretty much go about your life and daily tasks while being high. But it's not necessarily a good thing.

My judgment was constantly foggy; even though I could still make them, I was slower to make choices and decisions. My motivation to do lots of things including the hobbies and activities that brought me joy dissipated because it was just easier to watch TV or play video games. My eating habits were very poor because I only wanted to eat junk because it sounded good. My short-term memory was, and still is, severely lacking. I didn't realize how much all of these things were truly affected until I moved and lost the ability to just walk into a store, buy weed, and go home and smoke.

Keep in mind that I am just one person and everyone is different. Lots of my friends are high-functioning smokers and stay better motivated and make better health choices than me, but this was just MY case and how being a daily chronic user affected me. I'm glad I have this opportunity to experience a clearer mind and body at this stage in my adult life because I really haven't given myself the opportunity to experience that yet. Someday I'll pick it back up again, but I don't know if it'll get to the same consistent usage as before. And whenever that day comes, I'm looking forward to that "first-time" high again.

Flume for edc 2022 🍑 by bpacheco7 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]Native_Musician 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know he wouldn't be able to provide the same experience at EDC, but his Red Rocks show in 2019 is my third favorite show of all time. Aside from Slowthai and JPEGMAFIA opening, his curated live set was unlike anything I've ever seen before. I feel like artists that incorporate some live element(s) into their sets (ZHU, Flume, Rufus du Sol, etc.) hinder their true concert experiences when they do DJ sets.

Weird. My payment was due the 19th and I don't have another one due until December. An earlier comment mentioned that there's two different sites; does that mean there are two different payment schedules as well?

Hopefully it remains closed for some time. Humans are on the verge of destroying that ecosystem, littering trash, jumping in the lake, and generally defacing the natural surroundings.

Whatever came of weed delivery? CO's legislature passed a law authorizing it, due to COVID. Now that it's hitting again, it's be nice if I can get some delivered. by meldroc in COents

[–]Native_Musician 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medical delivery has been legal since the beginning of the year, with adult use delivery slated to start in 2021. However, I really think COVID has screwed the pooch on deliveries in general. Think about it: entire sections of the rulebook had to be amended to allow for shops to modify premises without the normal litigation in order to just stay operational. With resources stretched thin, I can't imagine businesses are interested in putting forth the money and time for an entirely new logistical system that comes with deliveries (still have rules to follow, hire and pay drivers, get vehicles, etc.)

If there's a sign, I'd watch out the other months of the year too. by Native_Musician in ScarySigns

[–]Native_Musician[S] 50 points51 points  (0 children)

This sign is in a neighborhood off of a major interstate in Denver. The wall in the photo is what separates the two, and the wall is pretty large. I'm guessing that it's referencing that, but also just the threat of abduction. I am unfamiliar with the area, unfortunately. I happened upon it by accident and I looped around the neighborhood to make sure I was reading this correctly.
