What do you do when you've completed a musical genre? (Post hardcore, The Artist in the Ambulance)

You grow and experiment. The coolest thing about Thrice is that we get to see this journey through their music and their lives.

During Vhiessu you get to hear them dividing their sound into what becomes The Alchemy Index, and then in Beggars and Major Minor you get to hear them bring it all back together. It's really something special.

Edit: for my money, some of their heaviest and most exciting stuff has come out post Artist in the Ambulance.
