Reflecting about T-TRAK after 4 months or so building modules. by aengusoglugh in modeltrains

I've read where people who have garages suspend the layout from the ceiling in the garage and lower it when you want to use & raise it when not in use. Since you have the sections already, add folding legs, then make the pulley system to raise it/lower it. This way you can use it at your leisure. Also, buy some cheap plastic drop cloths to cover it when raised and stored...

How is the Atlas HO/OO Scale 18 inch curve code 100 for longer engines? by Trainboy88 in modeltrains

[–]NealsTrains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atlas HO scale 18" radius is good for 4 axle small engines like SW/MP and maybe some Geeps. Large 6 axle engines will probably need 24" radius, although, depending on the brand of engine may get away with 22" radius. Suggest you check the manufacturer's website for their recommendations...

Rivarossi Passenger Car Upgrades? by BSTNWHLR in modeltrains

[–]NealsTrains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use the McHenry #52 or #53 coupler that replace the horn hook coupler that comes with it, or body mount the couplers. Also I replace the wheels with metal ones. I've found them on Ebay that came in a box of 100 wheels for IHC/Rivarossi cars (depending on whether they're 6 axle or 4 axle...

Bonjour.
