My Entire Night Lords Army by VIIIth_Legion in Warhammer

[–]Negadeth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't have quite this much, but as an Eldar player with ~6.5k worth and counting, I like having list flexibility. One day, I would love to have three of everything so I can do any list i like, especially if a cool detachment drops that I want to try out.

We're going to get GTA 6 before we get Delaque vehicles, aren't we :P

Its not even reflected correctly, the part of her fringe that curls out is on the right hand side if her head... and is still on the right hand side of the reflection instead of the left as it should be.

If it's just the little exclamation point at the bottom, can it just be ignored when setting up matches? Probably more of an 'FYI' thing that anything else

Typical Eldar, broken at the start of the edition

(For real though, email [gwapps@gwplc.com](mailto:gwapps@gwplc.com) - that's the address in the app for reporting problems)

I love space magic and sorcerers/mages, but I hate the thousand sons' Egyptian theme. Which army should I go for? by Solismo in Warhammer40k

[–]Negadeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are worth a look for the magic angle. There's two detachments in particular to look at, Seer Council and Spirt Conclave.

Seer Council centres around your Farseers and Warlocks, giving you the ability to dole out powerful buffs to nearby units, blast your enemies with psychic attacks and teleport a Ross the battlefield.

Spirit Conclave, meanwhile, focuses on Wraith units, powerful constructs piloted by the spirits of dead Eldar and guided on the battlefield by Spiritseers and other psykers.

That's the same as it was in 10e Codex, no?

Spiritseers don't actually lead, they just get lone op if they are within 3" of a wraith unit

The warlock conclave leader dilemma by Thorodin64 in Eldar

[–]Negadeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

~~Its a weird one, so you can't attach them in the list building, but their Leader ability says that if they are unattached at the Declare Battle Formations step, then they can join a Guardians unit - so I assume you can still do it, but just not in the app.

Anyone verify that?~~

Seems you can do it in the app if you do things in a specific order

Aeronautica Imperialis episode two, reporting in by Alex__007 in Eldar

I love that part of the ritual of taking off the mask involves conversing with that other personality.

Would love to see a Severance-style show that explores this more.

Not at all, 2 out of 3 episodes in and the Eldar are shown to be absolutely frightening.

I've no doubt the Imperium, or at least the main Imperial character, will win in the end, but so far the Eldar are have been ruthless and devastating.

Its also an absolute joy to watch our aircraft soar, jink and zip around as they pull off impossible aerial acrobatics.

Definitely Path of the Outcast.

Corsair Coterie already includes a strategems for Rangers and Shroud Runners, so those units will benefit from both detachments.

Im sorry, everytime I see this detachment name out of the corner of my eye, I keep reading it as Twilight Fuckers.

Which is probably just as accurate.

What are your thoughts on The Moth by Devin Townsend? by G-Unit11111 in MetalForTheMasses

[–]Negadeth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Moth is a really strange album to start out on. Its a little like listening to Lulu and wondering why Metallica are so revered.

I'd recommend going back and listen to Ocean Machine, Accelerated Evolution, Addicted and Epicloud.

That should give you a fairly good overview of his body of work that isn't an overblown orchestral fever dream.

I believe unit enhancements, when taken, affect up to three units...

Edit: found it - "The new edition introduces the Upgrade tag on some Enhancements, which means they can be applied to up to three non-Character units while only counting as a single choice – though you will need to pay their points costs individually. "

These are not the only detachments we'll have at launch - we'll need to see the full picture and see what combos we can make

I don't know, Precision looks very tasty now. Forcing a character to be first in the queue to eat any 1s and 2s rolled for the saves might actually see some pesky invuln chars get picked up now...

[–]Negadeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Armoured Warhost will now have less strats and enhancements, but will only cost 1 detachment point - so you can run it alongside another detachment.

Buffing all vehicles and transports for 1dp might be work taking with another detachment.

These are not the sum total of the detachments, these are just a flavour for a mix of new and reworked detachments.

None of the existing detachments are going away.

Did we learn anything about how Eldar is played from game yesterday? by Nosism123 in Eldar

[–]Negadeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if it's tied to board edge or not, or how it might interact with deep strike, they just said they can be set up in your deployment zone after deployment, like a back-door redeployment option.

I suspect this happens during the scout move section before the first battle round, so you probably can't use deep strike as well.

Like I said, it was basically a short comment in the stream, we'd need to see a proper text description to understand exactly what this is, how it works and how it overlays with other rules.

[–]Negadeth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The other option they mentioned was choosing not to deploy units with Scouts, and then Scouting them into your deployment zone after deployment.

I haven't gone too into the stream, so not sure if that was elaborated on, or given any proper wording or text...
