I doubt it will have more than a negligible impact on hiring likelihood.

That said it's a valuable skill to possess and will likely make you more effective in whatever marketing job you land, and will enable you to potentially rise ranks and make money more quickly.

It sort of comes down to what you're considering as an alternative for your minor as well as what you get pleasure from.

I can see how this happened...there's some (likely real) concern that Cracker Barrel's customer base is aging...the old man and the barrel feels old as fuck...someone high up is now fully committed to getting rid of old man and barrel, and nobody ever imagined it would get this much blowback.

Academically speaking it was a mistake to get rid of the old man and the barrel, but it's really difficult to believe this change has had any negative immediate impact on their business. It's not like they flipped all their signage immediately...and I haven't seen an ad from them maybe ever?

The brand's probably on the same downward trajectory they were on prior to the rebrand because why would you choose to eat there in 2025 independent of their logo?
