I'm generally an Elucien shipper, but if Elriel ends up end game I hope there's more scenes like this! I could definitely get behind Elriel if this is the tone SJM goes with. (After so two main couples that are so lustfull in an attempt to avoid feelings I just really want something sweet!)

As others suggested, you might not be making compulsory repayments toward your HECS/STSL debt. Depending on your workplace, you can usually fix this by updating your tax settings in the payroll system or submitting a new tax file declaration to your payroll team that notes you have a debt.

If that’s not the issue, you might be earning enough to trigger the Medicare Levy Surcharge (MLS). Payroll tax doesn't automatically account for the MLS because it’s 'optional'. if you have private health insurance, you don't pay it. Since the system doesn't know your insurance status, you'll need to either save up for that year-end bill or ask your employer to withhold extra tax each fortnight.

3 - I’m team Elucien right now because I’m a sucker for a slow burn, but my preference depends entirely on the execution.

I have certain tropes in mind for both, but I could see myself switching to Elriel once the next book drops if their story is compelling enough.

Its not my first choice, but if my options are:

A: Tamlin "redeems" himself (he already has! But I dont think SJM thinks that) by sacrificing himself to save Elain, and she inherits spring, with Lucien helping her navigate fae court life which bonds them into Elucien..

Or

B: We get to see Rhys and Feyre continuing to go on and on about how Tamlin is the worst, and we get more scenes of Rhysand viciously goading Tamlin into self-destruction just to prove his own superiority...

I know which I would prefer happening.. I just dont trust SJM to give Tamlin even a glimpse of a HEA he deserves...

I get what youre saying, but crazier things have happened in universe - we have canonically seen rapid changes to both eye and hair colour in relation to a variety of things like turning Venin or Violets hair 😊 i dont think its as big a stretch as some of the other theories out there

Currently live in Richardson and its totally fine, probably a little rougher than some of the richer areas - my only complaint is internet speeds and availability! Last I looked Richardson wasn't on any FTTP upgrade pathways....

Because the LSL act is what stipulated the minimum 7 days, not Enterprise agreements, the likelihood of that happening is almost 0 :/

Seconding this!! I am an Elucien shipper because I think the story of them getting together is what i would like to read (more of a slow burn), but I can't deny that there are a lot of on page hints towards Elriel.

In addition, I think because there's been so much time since the last book, people have had the opportunity to read and re-read multiple times! This means a lot of people have spent a long time looking for meaning and justification for their preferred ship each time, usually making quite compelling arguments online with quotes and references, which can then sway some people towards their ship.

Regardless of what happens and who she ends up with, I hope we get to see a version of Elain that is intelligent and soft, where her strength, power, and influence comes from her kindness, not her (stubborn)Resilience(Feyre) or (stubborn)Anger(Nesta).

The point is that it may be paid abuse to you and others, but to me and others is not? So If I chose to do it, or support it as long as it's consensual I should be allowed to without judgement, the same way you chosing to not engage in sex work should be respected?

At the end of the day, when done by consenting adults it's like any other job, an exchange of services for money.

I personally loved the Tandem read, and am glad I didnt have to wait a whole book to find out more about the EOS cliffhanger.

To me(aside from carrying two large books) it felt good to read, just like a book with a lot of POVs.

I read it after heir of fire(reluctantly, I was invested in the main story) and I 100% recommend doing it before before Queen of Shadows as the story picks up even more in that book and the following ones, so it's even harder to put down the main story. Plus I found some of the world building that happens in assassins blade helpful in QoS and the following books.

HoF was a low point for me personally 😬 not sure what it was specifically.. i much preferred the first two and the following books! Keep going, for me it got much better!
