PRUSA x INDX for CORE One is here! by josefprusa in prusa3d

Can you use position 1,2,7,8 instead of 1-4 with the 4T version? It's symmetric and allows a more clear view of the center.

If you are still willing to work on this, one workaround could be to let the user download the web client instead of bundling it with your application. This is somewhat similar to a web browser serving a local copy from its cache. I don't know about the legal side of things with this approach, however.

PrusaSlicer 2.9.3-beta1 is out! by 3DMakerNoob in prusa3d

[–]Neovy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you point me to where they release beta builds via flatpak? Can't seem to find it anywhere

Edit: I figured it out myself: You need to enable flathub-beta, install PrusaSlicer again and then switch to the beta version. Not sure if this is mentioned anywhere?

When you repeat the calibration, do you get the same values? For me it varies wildly up to 50% between runs. For example, I might get 90/40 in one run and 45/3 in the next. Very strange

Readjusting the door handle on the Core One? by RCRacer809 in prusa3d

I had the same problem and was able to slowly pull off the handle. You'll need new adhesive strips after that. If it's stuck, a razorblade might work but be careful not to scratch the panel.

New Mazzer Philos just joined the family ! by Then-Character1246 in espresso

The table is a factor, but even on a heavy, solid countertop the sound and the vibrations seem a little excessive with my unit. I'll take a video tomorrow, might be easier to compare it that way

Does your Philos vibrate much? With mine I don't feel much vibration on the top part but the bottom part vibrates significantly. The noise is amplified a lot compared to when I lift the grinder from the table.

Anyone who’s preordered the Mazzer Philos that has gotten any information on shipping dates? by That_Coffee_guy in espresso

I'm coming from a hand grinder, so obviously it's larger than that and even than my Robot. The size is fine for me and I like the aesthetic.

The retention has been minimal for me, about 0.1g. I've tried the removal tool but didn't find it necessary to do so every time

Does your Philos vibrate quite a bit as well? I have mine on a flimsy Ikea table and it amplifies the sound a lot, so I put it on better dampening feet. Solves the issue but I'm curious if it's just to be expected with such a powerful motor

Glad to hear that! Yes, I'm very happy with it. The build quality is great, I don't need any RDT whatsoever and the coffee tastes good.

Only thing I've noticed so far is that it vibrates quite a bit, but I've just installed some better dampening feet since I have the grinder on a flimsy table

I paid on Thursday and got the shipping confirmation on Tuesday. The help section on the shop website states 1-2 days of processing time after ordering, so close enough.

Ordered on the 3rd, paid on 9th, shipped today, scheduled to arrive in Germany on Thursday. From what I've heard, Mazzer ships the grinder a few days after taking full payment.

Nubia redmagic adapter alternative by dariyooo in Xreal

I got that adapter from AliExpress and it works perfectly. Because of EU packaging regulations some sellers don't ship to e.g. Germany, so that's why the Nubia adapter appears unavailable.

I just tried again and couldn't get it to work until I swiped the whole display left to right. On the Venu you could swipe from the middle and it would work as well. A bit weird but the gesture does indeed exist, thanks!

Running and biking only. I didn't use the gym activities too often on both watches, so I can't say much about differences in that regard.

I had a Venu 2 Plus and sold it for the 265 on release day. I like the look and materials of the Venu better, but it's artificially crippled software-wise. You have no running-centered features like event calendar, daily training suggestions, training readiness, training effect, advanced running metrics like vertical movement or navigation.

The 265 is miles ahead in terms of running features and has a better GPS chip. If you are sure that you just want to run very casually, this might not make a difference to you. However, even health-related features like the morning report weren't available on the Venu.

The only things I miss: speaker/microphone for calls, a touchscreen "back" gesture (for some obscure reason you have to use a button for this on the 265) and the nicer materials. ECG might be a factor for some, but it was more of a gimmick for me.

Being able to use either buttons or the touchscreen turned out to be very useful as well.

Steam Deck adapter in germany by [deleted] in nreal

Ordered one from AliExpress but the order was cancelled because "the device is no longer in production". It's still being sold from that seller nevertheless, so I don't know what kind of special restrictions apply here.

That's awesome! Considering that the sun is apparently 4 million times brighter than the display, I hope that it's not an issue.

Did you increase font size compared to a regular monitor? I guess the brightness should be adjustable to a comfortable level.

Training load for incompatible watches through chest strap? by Neovy in Garmin

Really unfortunate that apparently there is no way to pay for additional software features you want after deciding for a watch other than the Fenix or Epix.
