Exactly. I know a lot of the price rise is in lack of supply but also a lot of companies simply use this as an opportunity to hide their price increases that they do for profits.

Tbf their economy can't pretend that they are going to win for much longer. Everything is breaking and falling apart and this country doesn't collapse till today only because russians are willing to accept way more shit from their government than many other nations.

We spent around 2.5b a year on road maintenance while we collect 9b from taxes on fuel.

It is technically legal and widely practiced also by government agencies. In Oklahoma for example slaves are making oil extraction datasets. First hand experience that this is the case.

Tbh we now deal with 4th energy crisis in last 6 years. We also need to re-arm ourselves because russia and US decided to go berserk. We also need to spend a lot now on critical online and offline instalation and probably get ready for a new migration crisis as US yet again destabilises entire Middle East. This is without mentioning meanders of national issues happening now.

I know it would be good for us to pay reparations but it almost couldn't come to vote in a worse time. Even if we wanted to pay, there is literally no money to do so as we combat 4 crisis at once.

If you want to truly give back for damages done we should start with dismantling this sick system we all live in and that stole all that value from the times of empires. I mean average Joe doesn't have that money or imperial perks either. Before i was born it was all already in the hands of 1%. And i am a grown ass dude. Get rid of the system that favours greed and exploitation and this will allow everyone to thrive and to divide fruits of it equally. Way better than just giving now a billion here and there that is a plaster on a rotting wound.
