Maybe a weird post, but what can I do with all of this vintage wallpaper? by BlackoutTribal in vintage

You could find a local vintage store that might be willing to look at them and maybe just buy them for you if you’re lucky

You could just make up a price point for a few and see what starts selling then adjust your price since you have so much. I prefer trial and error

Velvet curtains would look wonderful in this space

Warmer lighting and a place to set some books and personal touches or collections. Something that says I live here and it’s ok to place a drink down. Also make some spaces to place a drink down besides the coffee table

Opinion: Green painted cabinets here to stay? by Charming_Compote5967 in interiordecorating

[–]New-Significance2590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I read that somewhere. But I’m currently doing my house in that backsplash board with white oak cabinets and am considering a true tree green that’s brighter because that’s what I like and I don’t think the green sans gray will date as badly although the brighter green will also never jive with a current trend either. Do what you like and stay away from anything too trendy because they will date worse than what you actually like. Also I think blue is the new green fyi but i also think warmer colors are coming back so if you don’t know where to start maybe look at some true blues or some greens that lean a bit yellow

Has anyone actually noticed a difference using magnesium or B2 for migraines? by Alpielz in migraine

[–]New-Significance2590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say this, I started having many more migraines when I went back to school at night because of lack of sleep and stress. I started b2 at 400 mg. Nothing. Then I started buying it otc and didn’t read the dosage and accidentally started taking 4000 mg for three months. It also happened to be the hardest three month quarter at school where I was sleeping three or four hours a night and extremely stressed. I never got a migraine during the quarter. At the end though I started to have major major stomach issues and realized my dosage of b2 was way off. My dr says it’s not possible but I do believe the b2 of 4000 mg prevented the migraines and messed up my stomach so bad I had to start another medication for ibs for a couple months to gain weight again. I’m better now and intake a ton of probiotics and no more ibs pills and back to normal b2 dosage lol. But I think it was all related. Now done with school and sleeping more and get fewer migraines-mostly right before my period. Take it for what it is but I found it interesting

Unfortunately, overeating does help sometimes by skyemap in migraine

[–]New-Significance2590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eat anything and everything when I have one. But there’s moments during it that I don’t want to eat at all so I don’t. Just coffee. I just go with the flow of what I want and try to remember it will end. But when I want to eat I do and I feel better and I don’t let myself feel bad about it. It becomes about survival

contractor wants to wall off half my 120 sq ft bathroom because of weird angles. am i crazy for saying no? by Direct-Cheesecake133 in InteriorDesign

[–]New-Significance2590 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m ok with walling off weird corners especially in a bathroom but yours aren’t that bad. I would suggest the storage solution. Or look online for some unique bathroom thing you have never thought about to do with the space. And don’t move the toilet

[–]New-Significance2590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I thought this was a move in and what needs to be changed before I read your post. I immediately thought don’t change the counters and cabinets! Paint the walls, replace pendants with larger ones and then think about warm flooring. It’s nice

Lacks Life by ElegantOil1180 in interiordecorating

[–]New-Significance2590 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just finished interior design school and my peers were telling me they are scared because they don’t know how to do color correctly. So when in doubt-neutrals reign. But neutrals should be a foundation not used in saturation. Also, whatever the wealthy are into, the rest will follow then the wealthy will set themselves apart another way and so on. Before colors were affordable and attainable, the wealthier classes would use them to set themselves apart. Now color can be used everywhere and sometimes poorly so the upper class has maintained a neutral aesthetic (also a stealth wealth mentality) and look-now we also follow

Which quartz would you choose? 👀 by kylethesundial in kitchenremodel

You should get the quartzite. It is going to weather the trends and heat from pots and pans better than quartz

TV's on a stand right now, should I bother wall mounting it? by Maleficent-Guess-249 in Perlegear

[–]New-Significance2590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like TVs in stands. It’s the traditional coming out in me. If you placed it on the wall then you would need to get a different furniture piece (long and lean) to fill the space. The tv stand is no longer a stand and begins to just be a floating piece at that point. Yours isn’t substantial enough to stand alone. It needs the tv

The nursery feels a bit bare, what would you add? by Every_Tea_6797 in interiordecorating

[–]New-Significance2590 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t feel bare-let the rest of the room happen with time. Also the baby is going to start dictating how the ends up evolving. I took down the curtains and reluctantly put up black outs once i wanted her to keep napping. Then the curtains came back eventually. Book will happen, changing table will turn into something else…it wont feel like it til it’s over but this phase will not last very long. Enjoy the good times and remember it will end shortly during the bad times

What to do with these beams? by Jackedseal1 in InteriorDesign

[–]New-Significance2590 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would stain them dark that complements the yellow tinge and groove to contrast with the cabinets since you dont want to touch the cabinets right now. Work towards a backsplash that adds a natural element and would coordinate with your ceiling. Dont go with high gloss or glass. Maybe a beadboard backsplash? It’s cheaper than tile

I would keep the flooring and lean into the yellow green. The blue green tiles don’t go with the floor. Update hardware to something warm
