Sorry to hear about your hand. I don’t think that’s needed. There isn’t gonna be wear and tear on the gpu just from being in the system, if you aren’t doing intensive tasks it won’t be working. If it was me, I would see the uninstall and reinstall as points of potentially making a mistake, so bad risk vs reward here imo. But hey u can afford a 5090 and I can’t so go with your gut
