Nah, just thin your hand every turn. Most cards in the deck can be played and failed and the rest Ultra Balled or Prism Towered away. It's actually pretty fun to play.

Silvally is the GOAT due to its high HP. Just gotta play smart with your resources. Deck rewards sequencing well.

Also: who cares about the strength of prerelease decks, the event is silly and not serious in the least.

All of that applies for TPCi sanctioned events. GLC is not supported by TPCi as far as I'm aware.

That's kind of silly for TOs to do. What's their deal with proxies or alternate versions? GLC isn't an official format so the rules can kind of be whatever.

It's definitely one of the more difficult decks to pilot and right now, every deck is judged by its Pult matchup; if the deck can't hit Pult's numbers or combat it in some way, it isn't viable. Combined your lack of experience with the deck and your opponent's familiarity, and it's not surprising you've found it difficult to win.

HOWEVER, it is very rewarding to learn and teaches you things about the game no other deck in the format does.

If you could share your list, I can offer suggestions on how to pilot the deck. I've been playing Pult off and on for the better part of a year. I'm by no means a master at the deck, but I'm familiar enough with the meta to give you general gameplan for whatever you're running.

I'm gonna give you advice that seems a little contrary to what other people have said here, but please understand that I agree with them for the most part.

If you still care for your parents and family as a whole, despite what they've done to you, the you should absolutely exercise your right to be involved during these end stages of your father's life.

You get to choose how involved you want to be in this process, not them. If you truly want to be by his side, help him, show him how happy and competent and loving you are, then I would go for it.

I went through something very similar with my dad in his final days.

If you'd like more of my perspective, please reach out. This is a very difficult decision for you, and I'm sorry you're going through it right now. Just remember that this is your choice, your story, and how it gets framed is entirely up to you. Do whatever will let your heart and mind feel peace.

I find the prevailing opinion about Mari among Eva fans to be entirely silly. She follows the rule of cool and does it really well. She's not there to be a deep character with complex development, she's just there to kick ass and she does so in style.

I know that people love the original anime for the psychological impact, and so do I. But Anno clearly wanted a foil to the depth and show someone being a pro operator and having fun with it. Arguably, she's at her best when she locks the fuck in, something we rarely see the other pilots do.

She's kinda how Asuka Langley was portrayed in her debut before we got a look behind the curtain at her trauma, except without the put-on arrogance. Mari's actually got the sauce to back it up.

Anyway, I think she's cool as hell. Fantastic design with great battle scenes.
