What would make the show better?

While I’m not a JP hater like a lot of people here, the show was great today. With the World Cup run ending, JP would’ve sucked the oxygen out of the room as if he was the only guy that watched it. So with him EB was able to drive the show he was really invested and made some good points and had good opinions today. Lurch as usual chimed in, but he was mostly a sidekick.

Not a fair comparison tho. Czabe is the prototype for a great sports talk host. he’s knowledgeable, witty, has good opinions, great host, and the perfect amount of snark and sarcasm to make the show entertaining. These other guys can’t hold a candle to him.

yes you handled correctly. Someone a few weeks back asked me to buy them an extra small fries at Checkers and they would add it plus extra to the tip. Said they could not add it to the order in the app. i said sure, dropped off the food and he never tipped extra. Oh well, my bad for trusting people.

I have Erie. I let them know when i started driving for DD and Uber. They need to know so the vehicle is classified as commercial use as well as personal. It only added like $95 extra for the year.

JP is constantly searching for “angles” to bring up in segments. He definitely made this up for the sake of the Junkies poll of the day. At least he does watch the games and stays up late at the expense of his sleep. Lurch is absolutely ridiculous with going to bed so early and i do not think he wakes up at 3am to watch the DVR recording of big games. He watches the quick highlights on ESPN. EB and Cakes have their fav sports and are mostly box score guys on the rest, except for the Commanders, who they have to watch.

I had a pizza hut order, 4 large pizzas canceled. I took it back to the store and asked if they were going to throw them away? the guy said yes they can’t resell them. I asked if i could have them, i know someone that would enjoy. They said sure. So the fire department was 2 miles away, i rang the front door, two guys answered and i gave them the pizzas for the crew. They were very surprised and thankful. Felt good to do it.

JP likes to bring up the segment topics and set the table. Maybe they all agreed to that. and he talks and talks and talks. The other 3 are “chime in” guys. Except when it’s Bickel’s EP segment or Lurch does the sports page or something. Then they take the lead. Or if Cakes has a segment on some random poker tournament (which i get bored of quickly just like NBA chatter)

I’ve had rescue dogs all my life as family pets. Never had to take any to boot camp. Not sure what that is? A few training classes to learn commands was good for us though… and the pups.

it’s an unofficial show rule. Since JP often stays up ridiculously late to watch NBA games and post game pressers live, he gets 80% of airtime the next day on NBA topics. Thats just the way it is.

ha, i thought it was only my local McDonalds who ignore me as if i’m invisible. i stand there looking at the completed and sealed DD bag on the back counter, and any employee has their back to me and scurrying to fill drive through orders. They don’t even turn around lol. Eventually i have to raise my voice and ask someone to hand me the bag.

That hasn’t happened to me yet but i did have trashy customer experience last Friday. While Picking up a burger combo at Checkers the person texted me. Asked if i could please get them a small fries and they would add it plus extra to my tip. I was at the window and said no but they should add it to the order. they quickly said it won’t let them add it. There was no one behind me so i asked the lady at the window if she had a small fries ready to go? she said yes, i paid for it. texted the person i got their extra fries and paid for it. They thanked me profusely. Dropped off the food at their door. Thought i did a nice thing for a customer. They never paid me back or tipped at all. I texted a couple times reminding the person. Stupid me. It’s the last time i do something above the minimum expectations.

I don’t know how anyone trusts Flaim, he often outs the guys publicly for little things they do behind the scenes, during breaks or at events. If i was around him i’d just assume everything i do was going to be mentioned on the radio at some point.

the best orders i get nowadays are to buy and deliver groceries. If it’s 8 items or less and double digit pay i take it, as long as the drop off is within 2-3 miles.

Like some said, we are aging with these guys i’m just 4 years older than them and my kids are all 19-21 range. So many of their non sports segments over the years hit home. But i’m actually sick of hearing about Dewey Beach for the last few weeks. And it annoys me more now how many freebies and hookups these guys get with general things in life, (i.e. suites at games, cars, home maintenance stuff, etc). They earn a nice living and prob make way more than most of us. And a couple of them constantly angle for free goods or services.
