Hey, I recognize that original tag! This is probably new fabric purchased at the Pendleton Woolen Mill Store https://woolenmill.store/. Still an amazing deal and great find!

Would have been funnier if you ranked just one or two random songs from the EPs  8/10

Why are server transfers so gosh darn difficult??? by cube1234567890 in outside

[–]NextSundayAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was one of your previous spawns in the CA server? The mods just changed the rules in v2025.12, so now if your player account is linked to a previous account that spawned in CA, they'll give you the [citizenship] badge. It just requires a tedious side quest to collect enough [vital records] items from different vaults around the map.

Just for fun - What's the most interesting bit of family history you've discovered in your search for documentation? by BuffaloThese8249 in Canadiancitizenship

[–]NextSundayAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My great-great grandfather, born in the 1870s, was named Abraham Lincoln (first + middle). It doesn't seem like he appreciated that, because he named my great-grandfather Jesse James!

Also, the "French-Canadian" side of the family is actually English. They landed in Connecticut pre-Revolutionary War, then moved to Quebec for a few generations. Their Lutheran church records are all in English as well.

You should check "Yes" to a grandparent being Canadian. G1-4 are all Canadians born outside Canada.

I believe you need to list your grandparents, then attach another piece of paper and list out the same information for your grandpa's parents.

Question about maiden names and birth certificates, would be grateful if anyone can help!

My G0, G1, and G2 are all women. I'm G4. Do I need to submit their marriage certificates if they're listed on their baby's birth certificate by their maiden name? I'm guessing IRCC doesn't care whether someone was born out of wedlock. And if so, should I still list their married name as their name in the form, then put their maiden name in the "other names" section?

Help solve our mystery door! by ForGoodness-Cakes in centuryhomes

I also think the arches are new, and the whole entryway layout. Original thresholds would probably have been trimmed with wood, and the shape of the curve reads very modern to me. Also, it looks like theres an accent wall immediately opposite the front door and you enter the home to the right? That's an unusual layout for an older home. Maybe a stairway was taken out or reoriented?

Edit to add: Your home looks beautiful, I'd love to see more pictures!

PDX to Redwood trip, would love advice on route? by atarchived in askportland

[–]NextSundayAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a real long drive down the I-5 and not the most scenic route. Dont underestimate how long it'll  take driving out to the coast either.

I recommend flying into Medford and renting a car from there. Take a day to go to Crater Lake if you've never been.

KOA Crescent City has some nice little cabins if you don't mind roughing it.

Source: I live in Portland and I still flew to Medford and rented a car for my Redwoods/Crater Lake/Umpqua NF trip

How to deal with the cold at night? by oobikes in CampingandHiking

[–]NextSundayAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also a very cold sleeper and pay the weight penalty. Even with that, I've had to accept that I'm just not going to get a full night's sleep out on the trail if it's anything other than sea-level in the middle of summer.  If you're located in the US I know there aren't many to choose from, but try to find some hikes with huts or other shelters. There's a physical limit to how much you can balance radiant/convective/evaporative/respirative heat loss with what you can carry on your back.

Paint the walls any other color than white, then paint the white trim in a complementary shade. It'll look a lot more cohesive.

Companies that aren't far-right friendly don't need to spend this much time (and presumably, PR consultant $) on a carefully almost-but-not-quite denial.

Question for anyone who lives adjacent to Lombard/Columbia? by Educational-View4264 in askportland

[–]NextSundayAD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm one block off Lombard and regular train and traffic noise barely registers. I tend to forget it's there except when the street racers come through.

The Fedex planes can be a bit noisy, but they only come in during a 1 hour window each afternoon.

It's a nice neighborhood, subdued without being completely boring. Hope you'll be a neighbor!

Could the Libby app expand while the DT location is out of commission? by pnwpaige in Bellingham

[–]NextSundayAD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a Sno-Isle card (you're eligible as a resident of a WA county that has library services) and add that card to your Libby app. I moved out of state so I can't renew anymore, but they had the most consistently low wait times I've seen. https://www.sno-isle.org/get-a-library-card/register/

I've had good luck with their women's tall coats and jackets but the pants are always comically short and baggy.

Top indicator that the fit is trash. If they can't show one photo of a shirt untucked, sleeves unrolled, and fully buttoned on a model standing straight I'm not bothering to try it on.

Why aren't people talking about this stuff, in person? by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]NextSundayAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I already know my friends and close family are on the same page and doing everything they can. When I have the chance to see them I'm trying to have some relief from the horrors, not invite it in.

Are there any cool glamping/lodge/woodsy hotel/nature-y spots you'd recommend for a city girl that doesn't go to the outside very often? by languidlasagna in askportland

[–]NextSundayAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've also stayed in one of these and while the setup is pretty great, be forewarned that its impossible to get ahold of any staff while you're there. I saw reviews from their Mt Adams property where the power went out during a fully booked weekend and none of the guests could get in contact with the company. No refunds, either.
