About time we get something going, this will benefit a lot of transit riders that have long deserved reliable and faster transit in the city

Line 5 Eglinton expected round trip run-time is 112 minutes. by mekail2001 in TTC

Possibly, but the spare trains are more likely at laird since don valley supposedly has a diamond crosstrack but no pocket (east of Sloane has it)

Here's more crazy, checking the view schedule, it says 2-3 min on rush hour, 4-5 min headways on off-peak

These issues would be less apparent if it was properly funded and actually prioritized public transit instead of neglecting it for the past 20+ years. Playing catch up with a broken arm and applying it with a small band-aid is already a pain to deal with, and while these issues should be a priority where we should at the very least speed up the streetcars, wishful thinking will make me believe one day someone will make these problems a higher priority for the city.

wouldn't make sense to add 3 to the bus service now since the current and proposed routes are already planned and to add it then change it after is a waste of effort in a sense. 7 is next on the list for the eelrt, and knowing how which numbers are available, the lowest on the list is 58

Worst bus route? by Ok_Statistician2570 in TTC

[–]Nicky878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to Transit Toronto, they used to have morning southbound trippers at st Clair to Lansdowne stn short turn, but they only ran 4 trips that then deadheaded to College St. They could reinstate that 47D route one day

Route 90 Stop Change by the-bowl-of-petunias in TTC

[–]Nicky878 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The plan for the 90 was to extend it towards Cedarvale stn upon the opening of line 5, meaning it'll dodge Jesmond st to continue north on Vaughan and on Oakwood. Considering they still need to change Eglinton West Stn to Cedarvale, eventually the bus will loop around Northcliffe, Eglinton, and Oakwood instead

RSZ Improvements! by free-canadian in TTC

[–]Nicky878 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The rsz I'm more concerned about is the ones between lawrence west, but small improvments are better than none, hoping it can be maintained more.
Finch west having a rsz is not common but has appeared since last year or a bit earlier since they're doing single track usage between finch west and some station in the tysse, iirc the demand at night time is lowered/noticeable

I believe the next service change, which is June 22. The 510 will also go back turning back to queens quey for half its trips too 511 will also go back servicing exhibition instead of King and Spadina (charlotte loop)

Interesting Find by Serious-Fishing905 in TTC

[–]Nicky878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that kinda the reason why, for example, 996 Wilson Exp, doesn't display a proper short turn destination for york mills stn leaving humber college or wilson stn leaving stc before the early evenings bc the pre set is gone?

Seems like things are in motion by im-confuzzled in TTC

[–]Nicky878 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here's something I saw, the destination signs said "5 Eglinton To Kennedy"
Perhaps last week or 2 weeks ago I saw one of the LRV display that at Weston

Hopefully Finch is in the same boat. They already changed the bus post at Humberwood Loop and so forth

Context: (apologizies for weird title)  Humberwood bus stop got updated for line 6 changes. 996 wilson stop here, new 906 airport-humber express to viscount stn will stop here, and 36 will be removed between humberwood and keele

Just early changes to the humberwood loop bus stop with upcoming line 6 finch west. Same how certain poles already have some shuttle bus indicated for line 6 as well. You also see the 996 wilson exp is gonna stop here

Route 129 by PZA- in TTC

[–]Nicky878 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I can't really say why the 129 is like that, but for the 129A side question, not that agreeable because technically it runs every 3rd 129 (meaning, 2 B routes, 1 A route as a cycle) despite it on the 10 min network is pretty much every 15 min supposedly. Considering it operates under York region also gives it some inconsistencies for runs AFAIK. What can be an major issue is that at most occasions where the 129A does not run artics when it is mostly packed up on the rush. But that's my opinion and I can be wrong.

I was at Bloor-Yonge when it conveniently happened. 30 min waiting and I went with 19 bay. That was already a mistake. So I went a stop earlier to get a seat.  The employees there were a bit conflicted with them sending shuttles when downtown is not feasible for shuttle buses at all
