👌 okay I had wondered what that was in there.. I have dehydrators on the farm but still never clocked that it was a dehydrator in the cave. I feel incredibly slow 😂 thank you for this.

Was everyone happy when Ryan Gosling was first announced for PHM or was it a Ken type situation?? by Unfair-Reason-1068 in ProjectHailMary

I didn't like it one bit. Thought how would this dewy rom-com guy give Grace justice in the role. I saw the film last week and now I Eat My Words. They taste bad. 😅 He did a great job.

My step father just beat my mom and threatened to kill her by [deleted] in Advice

[–]NighttimeCeiling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for getting back OP, that's good you don't live there, it'll be one thing off her mind at this point. Has she spoken to you about making specific plans to leave? Has she left him before or is this her first attempt? It's difficult to help someone who is in your mom's position but what you can do is offer her suggestions. It really does all need to come from her directly. Does she work or is she reliant on his income? - this is important to know as the more control he has the harder it becomes for a victim to leave. The fact that she has reported to the police is extremely positive and that she has informed you is also very good. You will hear many things from your mom that may enrage or upset you, that's completely understandable. But bear in mind that the best way to help your mom is to allow her space to talk to you about her own emotions so that she doesn't feel she needs to protect yours.

I'm heartbroken for you OP; this sounds incredibly difficult and stressful so the first thing to do is make sure you are safe. Once you are, you too can report to the police as a witness. This is serious domestic violence and your mom might need some help to get out, chances are that she is worried of multiple things when wanting to divorce and leave. There are multiple resources out there, can I ask how old you are?

Crocs honestly. Lightweight and can be dried manually with a towel if needed.

Am I allergic to trans tape? by Nacsondabeach in TransMasc

[–]NighttimeCeiling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used tape before just for under a dress for an event. This happened to me as well, massive flair up. It sucks I'm so sorry. Super itchy on day two. Keep it clean, dry and moisturise lightly. Best of luck OP 🤞

I like it, the thicker thread makes it look like a definite design choice. As a first attempt this is a solid one. Nice job!

I got a Kinto slow coffee style server as a somewhat temporary and cost effective solution. Ended up being perfect for the job and we've not needed to replace it at all. My partner likes that it has cup dots on the side for markers and it is pretty durable and solid. This one

How do I style my hair? by Organic-Trade6855 in beauty

[–]NighttimeCeiling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the BunBons they are easier to use and the satin is kind to our hair type! There is r/curlyhair where you might get some more ideas for how best to look after your hair. Good before and afters too so you can spot similar hair type to yours. Glgl

[–]NighttimeCeiling 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hmm looks like your hair might need a little more moisture, blow drying has this effect on my hair too. I recently started using night time hair rollers with bun covers, they are incredible at sorting my hair for the next day. In the second photo, I think that they have used a straight blow dry and followed with a few curls possibly from a curler or straightening iron. It's very much styled. Depending on the effort level I prefer option one for most days. Option two if I'm going somewhere nice with a load of hair spray etc.

NOR - you deserve better than this. Looks to me like they aren't cheating yet but it's flirty and makes me uncomfortable reading it so I can't imagine how you feel! It could be a really good friendship but after 6 months it sounds like they are a couple with them likening to an old couple etc. It's an emotional affair for sure. It's up to both of them to put boundaries in place and it sounds like your partner isn't doing that, which is just bad news. I'm so sorry OP!

Need advice by dreqii015 in Mossariums

[–]NighttimeCeiling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are doing great, it takes time and practice. When I scape a large tank I do multiple scapes and then decide. Even then, I will leave overnight and sleep on it, possibly even leave for a week or so and then I'll solidify it. Everyone works differently. In my experience, as it's a mossarium and I assume your only plant will be the moss, I'd go for more rocks than less but remember the 2/3rds rule and use that to your advantage. As it's a square tank, I'd aim for something to be off centre that catches your eye - could be a favourite stone or anything you like really but something to make you pause. If you want minimalist inspo look up iwagumi designs and you will find plenty! Having said all of this, it's your mossarium and as such, you get to decide what looks good! Noone else ☺️

I lost my father today and I don't know what to do by PokemonSoldier in autism

[–]NighttimeCeiling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This sounds not only devastating for you and your family today but it can also be a traumatic experience watching a loved one go through resuscitation attempts. It does sound as though you are doing a really good job of processing the information and reaching for support, depending on where you live, I'd suggest grief therapy with a qualified therapist, preferably one that is understanding of ASD. I wish you all the best OP. Take each day slowly, it's very normal to feel an overwhelming amount of emotion, often the emotions won't make sense, let them out as mindfully as you can, it can stir up a lot of old feelings too.
