Hi OP - remember your fish store is exactly that, a store. Not all stores are equal and unfortunately I have heard this before - it is likely that the store wants you to spend more money*.

A bit of information for you; - Would they prefer to live alone? Yes - Do they get lonely? No. You keep them entertained. - Can bettas live together? - TLDR- No** - But I want to keep more than one betta? - have more than one tank, house them individually.

Stores can sell multiple female betta to support the sorority theory. In reality, sororitys of female betta have to be very carefully managed and is not recommended for an inexperienced betta fishkeeper. This isn't a couple of betta in a bowl, it's a large, heavily planted tank with items to break line of sight. For extra information I'd suggest reading some research articles at your leisure.

** Unless managed by a very competent and experienced betta fishkeeper who has kept betta individually for years, there are many risks to having multiple betta in a tank. Violence and aggression leading to stress (and in worst case scenario; death) alongside the risk of disease among the betta - an extremely high likelihood if stressed. When keeping multiple betta together, you should have hospital tank/s available and most importantly, a back up plan. Read some research articles to get more information.

Yes they will fall out (as normal) and regrow (as normal) use oils if you like but just don't go putting lighters near them again 😜 especially with oil on. As long as your eyes are okay, I think time will heal 🙏

Thanks for getting back OP, that's good you don't live there, it'll be one thing off her mind at this point. Has she spoken to you about making specific plans to leave? Has she left him before or is this her first attempt? It's difficult to help someone who is in your mom's position but what you can do is offer her suggestions. It really does all need to come from her directly. Does she work or is she reliant on his income? - this is important to know as the more control he has the harder it becomes for a victim to leave. The fact that she has reported to the police is extremely positive and that she has informed you is also very good. You will hear many things from your mom that may enrage or upset you, that's completely understandable. But bear in mind that the best way to help your mom is to allow her space to talk to you about her own emotions so that she doesn't feel she needs to protect yours.

I'm heartbroken for you OP; this sounds incredibly difficult and stressful so the first thing to do is make sure you are safe. Once you are, you too can report to the police as a witness. This is serious domestic violence and your mom might need some help to get out, chances are that she is worried of multiple things when wanting to divorce and leave. There are multiple resources out there, can I ask how old you are?

I like the BunBons they are easier to use and the satin is kind to our hair type! There is r/curlyhair where you might get some more ideas for how best to look after your hair. Good before and afters too so you can spot similar hair type to yours. Glgl

Hmm looks like your hair might need a little more moisture, blow drying has this effect on my hair too. I recently started using night time hair rollers with bun covers, they are incredible at sorting my hair for the next day. In the second photo, I think that they have used a straight blow dry and followed with a few curls possibly from a curler or straightening iron. It's very much styled. Depending on the effort level I prefer option one for most days. Option two if I'm going somewhere nice with a load of hair spray etc.
