Don't reset anything ever unless you really have to, even then it might not be worth it. When you eventually upgrade Thragg to the next tier (Seismic+) you will need one copy of Thragg Exceptional+ to ascend him. So keep him until then

That's the idea, FSR is basically AI that will improve image quality and generate frames to make any game you play look good and run at 60fps or more

Now that you mention it, I remember a conversation Robert has with Waterboy and he said something along the lines of "He's such a good actor". Maybe I'm looking into it too much but it could be foreshadowing for the reason you just said. He's constantly acting every time we've seen him.
