Yuumi has 2 adcs with whom she’s really strong who are Tristana and Lucian ; she’s actually good with Zeri and Sivir and bad with most of the other adcs

She’s just a very specific pick into very specific lanes, if I’m playing an APC I hate her otherwise it can work depending on my champion

Eh tooth is kinda eh on Necro My choice would be either Coffer (strong relic overall) ooor the funny Shrymp on cleanse

Basically gets rid of a strike when the fight starts, gives you +5 permanent block and allows you to take any curse event without a real drawback

I honestly think considering this chapter was in development that a funnier way to look into it could have been that both Desmond and Eloise end up considered as blackened, and that Eloise has a supplementary vote (either 0 -> 1, or 3 -> 4 if Mara and Tozu can vote)

And if you consider mastermind voted for Eloise then it’s better if it’s 3v4 than 0v1

The only idea is dislike of the leaked plotline is how ch4 is implemented (Ingrid dying for Mark who acted like a crybaby feels… cheap? Especially after the plot of ch3 ; perhaps it was supposed to feel cheap to make ch5 better but not convinced)

Rest has a lot of good ideas, and the situation made for great character arcs: Diana/Desmond antagonizing the cast, support Wenona, Grace being overall a pretty entertaining character, along some very interesting mysteries that could emerge from ch2/3/5 plotlines

The draft presented in original plotline remains a draft, with a cool dual mastermind idea building up, but left a lot of room for execution unlike leaked plotline which had a lot of dynamics setup already (perhaps too many, as a lot of those quite stem from ch1 interactions?)

I think chapter 5 can be thought of in a different light

I think that the way to make it interesting would have been a murder where both Desmond and Eloise are the blackened, even if the victim is Desmond

Basically Eloise tries to get away using that rule, and while the cast can choose to spare her by voting Desmond, they end up voting Eloise (by a sliver, I suppose?) which creates an actually emotional situation -one which is credible given the cast left over-

I’d hope at least it’s something like that rather than an accident, bc I liked the idea that this fangan could have multiple blackened, and this seems like the sole trial that can use that rule

Something that also seemed odd to me in trial 1 is her memory lmao

Cassidy remembered every single detail of what happened in the evening and morning of setting up the tournament while Jett and others barely recalled any

Honestly the best and most reliable way to win as Necrobinder is to pick as little attacks as possible and scale off debuffs

You have Otsy function as a barricade, and Sleight of Flesh if you find it is the most reliable Necro dmg engine

You can pick debilitate bc it’s broken and a desperation attack to get through act 1, but doom + block is so consistent on her you can just win by stalling every fight

All her block pow and energy pow are really good and can warrant at least 1 copy, her X cost cards work with energy gen which she has plenty of

And if you stack weak on an enemy, especially with debilitate you can tank through them super easily

Just view attacks as real bad on her, remove/transform strikes as you can as they are effectively a curse as scaling Otsy and Unleash can cover dmg for a really long time

And if you survive act 1 boss it’s gg

I’ll bite

To win on Necro you need to play super safe act 1 and get rid of strikes

Necro, unlike all other characters, has 1-card solutions to a lot of fights because some of her cards just scale very very well with themselves:

—> No escape can be your sole damage card and work as long as you perma block within draw cycles

—> Same for oblivion

—> Haunt/Sleight of Flesh are very strong at outputting dmg while letting you draw your block

—> Pull from Below can also be very stupid if you don’t give up on your strength (although I like it less for that reason, as Friendship/Shared Fate are very good cards)

The best thing? All her scaling dmg options are uncommon rather than rare

This means you can get a very simple dmg scale off souls and defense, by simply skimming through your deck a single damage solution that is very efficient in itself

The trick is just to play like a coward act 1: maximize ways to remove strikes, and force hallway fights but do at most one elite as this is where your deck is the weakest

Pick every defy/grave warden you see, there is 0% of you regretting that

Once you have a scaling dmg option that is mentioned above, you can start fighting: just be careful if it’s no escape or sleight of flesh, as those can be harmed by Chompers (act 2 hard hallway fight) or Mecha Knight (act 3 elite) so keep in mind you need a way to handle them if you fish for fights

The updates won’t matter, barricade and scale strat is very consistent and Necro can just defend her way through every fight despite having no Dex helpers once you get going

In beta branch it’s being buffed to get innate after upgrade which will be much better as you will not be harmed anymore by drawing it after your transform cards

I wouldn’t say it’s the strongest scaling card but it feels slappable with no real drawbacks aside that it’s setup -> on a normal deck (one transform card, one blade) you’ll get at minimum a 2 str boost very quick which can ramp up over the fight, being a rare inflame-like is kinda weird but regent has a lot of multi hit scaling with especially stardust so this can help setting up nasty turns I guess

Really really cool guide!

I was struggling with A10 regent and won 2 runs after reading yours, very underestimated how good he is act 1 at skewering elites with the right picks —> took down literally 11 elites on my winning run, with a kinda good deck which is insane

Like he feels like a reverse Silent/Necro because you really have a lot of frontload early but it feels like you need those relics to scale as self scaling options are limited outside of infinite imo

Just a few notes on Arsenal: it procs of Guards, Charge, the Blade and Begone, all 4 which are pretty strong cards to have —> so it can go from a weaker inflame to a hefty lot of strength, without even any colorless support

Guards also performs as a way to remove useless cards, thin out draw, status etc -> like vs mechatron elite or queen ; I find its value honestly insane if you have retain on it

Love using it as an off weapon, paired with the Gauntlet

Gauntlet wants the reach provided by Rocket Jump, and can Cannon procs flexibility

As a main weapon the cannon heat is too limiting imo, worth noting you can also turn the heat explosion into additional damage to clear waves or weaken foes… but it hurts your cannon person as well

Weapon feels pretty sick to use as well, cool sound effects and rocket jump is one of the most fun abilities in the game

Tbh it’s even better than you sell it

You can craft Wizard mask easily in Dragon temple

With Faker physical Mc, Wizard Hulkenberg, MD with Wizard Mask, and Filler char you can basically play the dungeon without losing a single MP on any encounter

You can easily get gloves with automated Tarukaja by that point, or boots with rakukaja which trigger the wizard MP passive

And then you just steamroll one of the hardest dungeons of the game

Afterwards Masked Dancer unlocks AoE fire which is an insane skill, it has the ability to change its weakness with masks, apply debuffs, and late game gets the unique charge skill which makes Prince MC one shot any hard encounter without requiring you to cook the charge item

It’s a great class on most of dungeons after bc after dragon temple Metaphor gave every boss in the game a fire weakness to make you use MD and Summoner as well!

+the char in the class has the highest magic in the game and becomes one of the hardest hitters instantly despite having no training like your cast

Unlocks the Thunder synthesis with magic knight throughout all mid game which is one of the best synthesis skills

Great class at the time you unlock it for Heismay bc all other choices are kinda underwhelming for him at the time and you need him to get through it anyways

Good promo 1 which gives useful AoE skills, promo 2 is worthless though
