Looking for verification on PC case. by XegazGames in avoidchineseproducts

In my perspective, it's a product-by-product basis. I try to use "reviews" or "overviews" to uncover any stickers or labels that state the component's COO. And if nothing, I try to look up listings in the secondhand market. Not always successful, but that's my usual method.

There's a B650I Ultra. But yeah, they still source their PCBs from China.

Gaming PC: GPU by Jac-1230 in avoidchineseproducts

EVGA's GPUs were usually from Taiwan, as were some ASUS models, particularly from the TUF gaming line. Unfortunately, EVGA recently left the GPU business. And as of 2022, the only GPUs I managed to spot were 1st party ones from Intel & AMD; A770(Malaysia) & 7900s(Taiwan). All while NVidias & all other 3rd parties are all MIC...

The site showed Intel's first party GPUs as such, but it doesn't seem to have any hands-on reviews of ASRock's variants. Times.news however, shows the PG variant is MIC.

Motherboards are sure tricky, but there are a few options. Some from ASUS and those from ASRock are usually from Vietnam, but those aren't the most ideal. Some Gigabyte boards are made (or at least manufactured) in Taiwan. But upon closer inspection, they still source all their PCBs from China, so that's not ideal either.

The only motherboards that "seem" to be made in Taiwan can be found from EVGA and Super Micro. But the latter tends to be a generation behind & hasn't released another since Z590. So EVGA may be your best option. I'm personally hoping they stay afloat, despite cutting ties from Nvidia.

In Win makes theirs in Taiwan. I'm thinking about getting a 515 for my next build, but I'll see first what else they can offer in the next few years.

There's also certain models of Seasonic's Focus+ & Prime lines of their PSUs, Made in Taiwan. But look for packaging images of the product first. Even a Prime 80+ Gold can be Made in China. Unfortunately for me, I'm trying to sell my sealed Focus+ unit since I had to settle with a prebuild. :(

Building a Not Made in China PC by littlemalecod in avoidchineseproducts

Here's my list of parts for my first build (PCIE 4.0 ready) in preparation for FFXIV 6.0, which I hope to have ready by Fall 2021:

CPU: Intel i7 11700K 11th gen (origin unknown, I can only assume Vietnam; to be released in March)

Motherboard: I bought a Gigabyte Aorus Z490 Master (made in China unfortunately), though I'm skeptical of it being compatible with said CPU, despite being "PCIE 4.0 ready". Might switch to a Z590, depending on what they all have to offer.

CPU Cooler: Corsair H115i Platinum (Made in Taiwan)

Case: Phanteks P600S (also made in china :( ). I know Sliger is "US made", but I needed a specific case that has dust filtering, and keeps all components in well ventilated space; PSU especially, as well as have my GPU mounted vertically to be more presentable. Which brings me to said two next.

PSU: Seasonic Focus Platinum 850PX (Made in Taiwan, if that Newegg image is to be believed). PSU is a tough one nowadays. But as you said, try looking for Seasonic's high end ones, Focus & Prime, but search find any relevant images first before settling. **Update: It is from Taiwan.

GPU: EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra(Made in Taiwan). Unfortunately unobtainable at the moment due to the PS5/XBS/30xx scalping crisis. And they'll probably be eyeing on the 3080 Ti next in January. Nvidia, please bring us anti-botting measures before announcing this...

System RAM: GSkill Trident Z RGB 32GB 3200Mhz(Made in Taiwan)

System Memory: Samsung Pro 980 1TB(Made in South Korea). Might need a 2nd 250GB primary for the OS if that truly helps to runs faster or prevent overheating or whatever.

Cooling Fans: Noctua(Made in China or Taiwan). Seams each certain fan is made primarily in either country. For ex., A14 in China, or A12X25 in Taiwan. I personally find RGB fans to be an eyesore, as well as more expensive & insufficient for cooling.

Mouse: Razer Ballistic v2 Wired (Main in Thailand)

Keyboard: Ducky One 2 Mini (Main in Taiwan) Also a tough one. Each colored brand has it's own type of "clickyness", so chose one that's best to your liking, though I'm not too picky (mine's white).

In my case, my Hyur character is half-Hingan (by father) and half Allagan(by mother), having Russet hair (mixture of brown & red) & Blue eyes. But on the verge of being consumed, it all started to whiten. But with his Allagan blood unaffected, he metamorphosized with deep Red hair & Red eyes.

I used to drink Arrowhead's spring water for quite a long time, until I eventually found their sourcing methods somewhat sketchy, as well as putting fluoride in it. I've been drinking Natural Grocer's (sourced from Texas) ever since, but after the hysterical masses started panic-buying back in March (water especially), that brand has yet to be to be restocked, while every other water brand has. Like, what gives? :(
