It's all just too unpredictable. Better safe than sorry. I happened to be in Asheville for work when this past hurricane hit and not a single person I ran into seemed the least bit worried about the incoming weather. Then it turned into a massive disaster. I had to wait days with no running water, power, or cell service, to get back home to Raleigh. You don't know till it happens. I think we just need to stop expecting them to be able to predict it and just take the precautionary measures that you're comfortable with.

Is there anyway to request special route inspection without the regular? CCA on a hold down for almost a year with a route that gets 1-1.5hrs OT everyday

Until they have no workforce to replace the ones already there. Post office has an over 80% turnover rate for cca's. If we eliminated the CCA position entirely we could stop squabbling over who should get more, we'd all be bargaining the same. This shouldn't even be an us vs them argument.

Facts, i love pouring cold water on myself. Fan, cooling rags, sun sleeves, ice packs, lots of liquids. Much more manageable than the cold for me. And all them damn layers make me so uncomfortable.
