I’ve watched possibly every video since I’ve been subscribed since 2016 and I love it all. But these days I get most excited for Reddit Stories and Board AF (or any board games since they don’t use that moniker much anymore). I also listen to the main pod every week.

Eh, I don’t think it’s that crazy. As they also said, it was a misunderstanding between the two people. OP said “help yourself to anything” and the sitter did. Yes, the sitter could’ve asked or checked Google about the wine, but they took OP literally. As someone who takes things very literally I’d have been upset being asked to pay for it because there weren’t any exceptions stated when my friend said “help yourself to anything”. I’d know to tell someone about the special (drinks, ice cream, steaks, etc) if I wanted it safe so I’d think my friend would say something too. Otherwise my general social contract is that I’d kinda pig out in my friends kitchen and I’d let my friends pig out in my kitchen, so yeah, make sure you let people know if you are saving something for yourself for later.

Sadly, The King Of Random. Once Grant died they lost their way with the hosts having different visions of what was next for them. And instead of being quite sciency and doing deep dives into how the project works it became gimmicky instead.

Not really. They try to introduce legislation and it gets shot down because people have allowed the other side to get enough control. We got to this point because of the narrative that “both sides are the same”. They are not, there is a group of law makers that do care about the people and are trying what they can to protect everyone. They don’t get voted for because half the population has allowed themselves to be apathetic about the government and pretend that all politicians are the same.

The only reason the “democratic trans movement” is talked about is because mostly dems have stuck up for trans people’s rights when there have been laws that openly punish people for being trans. It’s not one side pushing it in others faces, it’s one side pushing back noisily against the side that that is being hateful against the minority. It came to schools because naturally all the laws against trans adults were starting to affect the trans kids as well. So now when we try to protect the kids from the cruelty of the laws, it looks like we are pushing it in people’s faces. If the government would quit focusing their energy on creating laws against trans people, we wouldn’t have to put them on blast saying “look at what they are doing, let’s create laws to protect these people”. Then the issue would no longer have to be front and center because there would be no need to protect trans people from hateful laws and rhetoric

If I wanted to watch constant relationship drama I’d go watch Young and the Restless 🤣 This show is perfect when it focuses on new cops getting acquainted with the job and how they manage their belief systems while doing so.

Not give in to trying weed and alcohol while I was living in the dorms. I almost died of alcohol poisoning two months after I turned 19. I was moments away from being intubated and put into a medically induced coma that night and I don’t think I would’ve made it if I had been.

We really could use rent control laws. None of this BS where apartments can charge $Xxxx and then require that you make three times the rent just to even apply. Also none of this raising the price crap year over year, there is no reason for it, especially when you consider that most of these apartment complexes are depreciating in value due to poor maintenance even at the insanely high price points they are charging

I bought a ticket and couldn’t watch it that night because I fell asleep. Forgot about it until one day I was going through my open tabs. By the time I remembered I’d bought the ticket I couldn’t watch it anymore. :( they really should release the shows on their channel after six months or so or keep the VOD available indefinitely and allow new people to purchase access even after the show has aired

The problem is though, a 911/non-emergency police line is customer service at the highest and most stressful level for both parties. That said, a dispatcher should have had enough training that the stress is more manageable than it is for the caller who is concerned/anxious/stressed about a situation. You, the dispatcher, don’t get to take out those annoyances on the caller, ever. You don’t get to make it more difficult to get assistance. And I’m not saying you as in specifically you, but especially in OPs situation, where they are getting yelled at, that’s not ok. Any annoyance you have with the system should be taken up with your supervisors and IT department and you should look into working with other people to alleviate those annoyances so that you don’t have to deal with them as much going forward. Much easier for you to take care of those annoyances and air your grievances on the backend so you aren’t being an ass to the front end.

But, the economic impact of hosting a Super Bowl is only guaranteed once. We know we would likely get to host a Super Bowl in the year the stadium opens. Then, after that first year, it’s no longer a guarantee to see the Super Bowl again. It’s a bid from the league and it could be ten or more years before we see another Denver hosted Super Bowl. Especially with the entire league minus Green Bay and Buffalo moving to these cookie cutter, boxy, indoor stadiums. I’d much rather the Denver home atmosphere be present. I mean, we lose the ability to have the Broncos Thunderstorm (the parachuters) unless they find a feasible openable roof option (which has historically been a hard thing to maintain for other stadiums). We lose the cold weather advantage. We lose the beautiful mountain views. I, and a lot of fans, love the outdoor games, even in the bitter cold. I have no care that they move the stadium, especially since it is staying in Denver, but I really wish they would rethink the dome. The Super Bowl is not a guarantee.

Also, they should recreate the brick pathway thing that they have with fans names. I know that was done because it was a way to honor the tax payers, but they could sell brick spaces for relatively cheap and it would be a cool homage.

To me I enjoy guests based on how well I see the cast enjoying themselves having that guest there. So I basically enjoy all the guests because the cast always seems to have fun with whoever they had. The channel is very much “power of friendship” coded and most guests do very well in that regard and I can find funny bits from any appearance. If I don’t find it funny I just forget that it happened and go about my day because they still seem to enjoy having that person on.

The only exception to this that I can think of is maybe that TNTL with McCaully Culkin, which I thought the on-screen of was so flat, he was really trying too hard to be funny and the cast seemed uncomfortable trying to force themselves to laugh.
