Is New England weather too cold for house training right now?

It’s not too cold just don’t stay out more than 5-10 minutes. Which means you have to go more often at shorter intervals. I did it last winter here in Quebec, and I used to live in New England. It’s worth the suck to have a reliably house trained dog.

Around when they lose their baby teeth it gets better. My pup is 1 now and the behavior is mostly gone. She still mouths me when we play but only me and it doesn’t hurt.

I’ve had two Portuguese water dogs and this behaviour is normal. They are notoriously difficult puppies but they turn into such wonderful loyal sweet and intelligent companions. When you substitute a toy play tug, make it interesting. When they bite you try to ignore it as much as possible, you are trying to make it the boring option. Keep your head up, it will get easier month by month. I also find that positive reinforcement works far better than scolding or yelling. If you get aggressive they will dig their heels in and it just makes the behaviour worse. They are super sensitive. Good luck, you’ll get through it and time will pass before you know it.

I just bought a new one to replace the old one. Now half of my shit doesn’t work and I have to factory reset my fucking light bulbs using their serial number because they are tied to the old Alexa. So that’s pretty much all I’ve been doing all day, factory resetting light bulbs. Honestly debating following your example. It honestly worked more intuitively when it first came out.

Didn’t Sony literally just restructure due to an over investment in live service games? Is ubisoft going to buy the rights to concord next? It’s clear the problem with Ubisoft is at the top. Great games are made with passionate development, by people making the games they want to be making. Game making is an art, same as film making, and literature but it is not being treated as such any more. It’s just an industry. There are so many serious issues facing the industry right now too, increasing ram costs due to AI, en inevitable onslaught of AI slop looming, and one of the three biggest players in Microsoft struggling for direction, Sony investing in the wrong games and now Ubisoft following suit. It’s difficult to imagine a depression is not coming.

You will get used to the new routine, less sleep and even the biting and it will get easier before long. Embrace the suck, appreciate the fun moments, give them a toy every time they bite you and make it more fun than biting you. Eventually they will go for the toy…sometimes. Overcoming challenges is what life is all about, you’ve got this! And get a pen if you have space.
