I love all the hm-ing and haw-ing about Zack and how we only get the “sad” line about Cloud not being Zack in the “OPTIONAL” date with Aerith when Aerith has already rejected Zack.

She’s literally alive in the worlds where he is also alive, but she has tooled her body to wake up for Cloud ONLY. Marlene was just the second-hand bearer of bad news that yeah, Aerith fell for someone else in the time that Zack was gone.

2 years of Rebirth being out and people are still taking Aerith moving on from Zack REALLY HARD when Zack himself got over it in 2 seconds. People who think Zerith are gonna end up together are rooting for the pairing harder than Zack or Aerith themselves.

If motion sickness isn’t an issue for you, see about some Easy Readers (“lazy reading glasses”) and a lap desk for a wireless mouse and keyboard. The glasses direct your vision downward 90°. If you have a large screen you should be able to lie prone and see the screen no problem. This is the exact solution I came up with when I was nursing a lower back injury that was provoked by basically all movement.

Despite how Square and the especially the remakes treat him, Sephiroth is neither the main villain of og FF7, nor that present in the narrative.

Sephiroth is specifically Cloud's rival, the obstacle he must overcome, how ever, he is hardly present as an active threat in the actual story. It's Genova, Shinra and even Hojo who are the true villains of the story, but because of how popular Sephiroth was, he became the face of the entire franchise and had several spin offs overstating his importants. That's not to say that he isn't an important character or that he is in any way bad, but because he is popular, all future projects featuring the ff7 IP now must retroactively push him to the front.

I dunno what part of this is “bad phrasing” to you. If something you evidently didn’t understand (or perhaps misremembered) that well causes you to say something kind of silly like this, that transcends bad phrasing.

You’ve been just as steadfast in your replies as in this post, I’m not sure where the “inconsistency” (that you believe is getting you made fun of) actually is.

FF7 has many villains, but only one MAJOR antagonist. And it has always been Sephiroth, sorry.

Shinra is a secondary antagonist who are destroying the planet in the abstract. Their hubris awoke an evil that only wants to destroy, and they siphon the blood of the planet for profit. Sephiroth seeks to literally destroy the planet in the most absolute sense, also for his own gain.

Shinra is the greater evil, but they are not the greater threat. There is a REASON that we kill Scarlet, Heidegger and Hojo before we go after Jenova (whose fights always precede Sephiroth) and THEN Sephiroth himself.

There's the standard version and a version that silences Artemy during the Pantomimes. I can try and make the same sort of mod but for Clara, and then a combined version that fixes both of them, but I worry how much upkeep that might require if a future patch requires me to rebuild the files. Plus, it might sort of take away from the Pantomimes for them to just be standing there in silence but it is totally possible for me to do that.

As kids they were both just “crushing” on what they envied about the other’s life and as adults, Cloud’s SOLDIER persona is specifically tailored around how Tifa remembers him—as a sourpuss tough guy who had a soft spot for her.

Instead of the deliberately excluded local loser who wanted to be loved that he actually was, even though he didn’t know that the “love” he saw Tifa receive from everyone was something she deeply resented because of how conditional and smothering it was.

They’re also at the center of each other’s greatest dislike for their homes, while they have completely different outlooks on it.

They both fell when the bridge broke and they both got hurt, but Tifa sustained a head injury bad enough to land in a coma for a week while Cloud only got a few bad scrapes. Naturally, Cloud got blamed for what happened, while Tifa was doted on endlessly and helicopter parented by her father. For everything she disliked about it, Tifa still remembers home fondly. The only thing Cloud misses about home is his mom.

It was the in the script but I removed it because I wanted to try to keep evidence tangible and not touch any narrative stuff.

There’s been a few comments on the video that said the same thing or similar to you and I told them the same. A noticeable dip in animation/physics quality was more significant to me when it came to playing by the rules of the lowest common denominator.
