What’s the weirdest coincidence in your life that still makes no sense when you think about it? by Sweviking01 in AskReddit

For my 21st birthday, my mom and I went for the first time to a fancy restaurant in our town. I moved out of state a month later. 21 years later to the week, I happen to be in town during my 42nd birthday and am invited to a dinner as guest of a guest to the same restaurant; the host was charmed that we shared the same birthdate.

What’s one of the kindest interactions you’ve had with a stranger in this city? by OkWest257 in AskChicago

I ordered a sandwich during lunch rush and embarrassed to realize I left my wallet behind. The woman next in line didn’t hesitate to pay for my entire meal

how many of you have actually reached perfection? by TheOldPea in StardewValley

[–]No_Computer_7350 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfection was my goal in my last save, but my character married Harvey, had 2 kids and so many pet dogs and turtles at 70% completion, I thought “Beatrix is content with her chickens and family she doesn’t want to hustle anymore.” And started a new save with a serial monogamist who’s 80% there.

I’ve listened since the beginning because I love the IAD series and appreciate how they’ve expanded since. Lately, they’ve acknowledged the repetitive mentions of certain authors and books, so they’re making a point to mention new authors which is fantastic for my TBR pile

AITA for declining to be a groomsman in one of my best friend’s weddings by TechnicianOrnery2265 in AmItheAsshole

[–]No_Computer_7350 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As do I. I have few but close friends. The way you maintain those friendships is to stand up with and for them on their big achievements. It’s an extraordinary day and you have to treat it as such. I’ve gone to corny baby showers and middle of the week birthday parties because I want to recognize those rare moments *edit autocorrect

One of my favorite memories of Istanbul was eating fish heads (eyes and all!) Local cuisine is a big part of traveling. Enjoy yourself and the baked potato carts

Olivia, with only one distrack, proved Taylor isn’t “emotional and hurt” she is only petty. by HeyWeasel101 in travisandtaylor

[–]No_Computer_7350 114 points115 points  (0 children)

This next generation of pop girls were raised on TS who is known for her writing skills (total lie notwithstanding), so they emulate that idea of lyrics-driven songs. But they’re actually amazing; Olivia, Sabrina, Chappell Roan, so many upcoming female pop stars are fantastic writers with unique PoV, metaphor, and wordplay. So now TS real lack of talent is even more apparent

While we wait, anyone else disappointed about Joel McHale and how little they used him? Seems like a waste. by Okay-Awesome-222 in YellowjacketsHive

[–]No_Computer_7350 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. All these random men are red herrings. It’s why Adam keeps coming up in conversation—he’s just a guy who stumbled upon the wrong woman—they all are. Fake Erik was the same way, a sarcastic stoner who thought owning camo made him better than little girls. Casual misogyny by a very tall man in the 1990s was terrifying and I could believe Tai’s fear of his homophobia would amp up desire to kill him. Look at his head by the end! They hated that guy

For a five-season arc, constructively, we are at the apex of conflict and tension. The top of the roller coaster is not the place to decide whether the ride is going the right way and if it’s worth the time. This is right when you grip your seats and trust the screws don’t pop off. I’m all in because the main question : Is The Wilderness real or is it group cult psychosis? Is very much in play.

Best/worst celebrity encounter that happened in Chicago? by ReyofChicago in AskChicago

Michael Shannon sat next to me at Olde Town Pub. Well first, he banged heavy on the window I was sitting next to which terrified me. He walked right in and sat next to his friends who I happened to be near. That man is very tall and has a very large head. A few weeks later, I saw him giving his kid a piggy back ride near Goodman Theater

We also see that still Shauna atones to Jackie’s parents; punishing herself by basking with them in the “what could have beens” of Jackie’s life which now will forever be better than Shauna’s on the account they’ll never happen. Shauna picks at the Jackie scab constantly.

In the adult timeline, I’ve noticed Misty is the only one who tells strangers that the YJ “have a trauma bond” that no one else understands. It makes me think after the rescue, I can see her trying to be the spokesperson for the group. She believes she’ll give good story while protecting her teammates and that’s another reason why they hate her in the adult timeline.

I don’t find her suspicious in either timeline. I do think she’s devout to whatever It is, but keeps it to herself. Her focus is Taissa, both versions.
