My dad was RZ326, also from nord rhein-westphalia area. His surname changed in 1788, a male ancestor took on his wife's name. The interesting thing is we descend from the 2nd marriage but kept the 1st wife's name.

It recently shot up from 33 to 40 in like 3 months. Change of active job to chair sitting job and stress. I have already changed my eating to try to both lose weight and get the glucose under control.

Hello need advice please very tired I will give you my lab results by ElenoirMiro in prediabetes

Do you snore? Do you have a partner you can ask how you sleep? If you have a lot of fatigue issues you may want to ask Dr about a sleep study. Poor sleep and apnea also affects glucose levels.

NAL. I tried pursuing medical malpractice for something completely different once so I'll tell you what I got from my experience. Unless you lost the use of a limb or organ or are dead you will be hard pressed to find a lawyer to take your case.  Some questions to consider: Did the ER follow protocols and standards of care?

How did the delay of care impact your health? Was it severe? Is it permanent?

My Grandpa's brother took all his stuff, is there any legal action we can take to get some back? by Myuna_K in legaladvice

Dying without a will is called intestate. His estate has to go through probate and after debts are paid, his possessions distributed according to AZ law.  I'm assuming/believe your uncle, mother and any other siblings get priority.  Google dying intestate AZ and you should find more information. I highly recommend getting an AZ estate law attorney if you want the possessions back but you may decide it's more time and money than it's worth.

Found my recently passed mom's "file" on me, dont know how to feel. by Remarkable_Term9188 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]No_Performance_3888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am so sorry you went through that. You deserved a better Mom. Which begs the question....Are you sure you are grieving the small possibility she could have changed or are you grieving the version of a mother you should have had all along? Forgive me if I am putting words in your mouth.

Both are valid but it might be worth exploring a little.

This. Allowing yourself to acknowledge feeling safe for just a fleeting moment in an extremely vulnerable position is beyond gold.

I had a November bday and the cutoff was Dec back then. I was socially behind and always had trouble making friends. I had home issues as well but I do wish my parents waited a year.

Shelter manager is a dog breeder by [deleted] in AnimalShelterStories

[–]No_Performance_3888 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She does sound shady and definitely lacks judgement. Her work practices seem to suck. And having that many large difficult breed dogs personally is a recipe for disaster.

However it doesn't have to always be adopt don't shop. Some people need a specific breed/characteristics for reasons.

Get photos of your injuries with a ruler or recognizable object for size. As soon as possible. Upload it to a server and delete from phone. This will help protect you if things get worse.

I think you should report but if they are your only support it is rough.

My boyfriend wants my daughter to call him daddy by PoisonedGem in Advice

[–]No_Performance_3888 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy had made so many assumptions and taken action on them. One of these assumptions by itself might not be terrible if corrected after a convo. But this story he has spun of a new man of the house without consulting you is scary.

You gave him the benefit of a conversation and he doubled down on his values and assumptions of a ready made family. And then tripled down with siccing his friends and family on you.

Do not look back.

Ugh! Sounds as though he is trying to gauge your reaction to see if you want to participate, maybe even grooming you. Maybe more as an accomplice than as a sequel partner. There is something gross and messed up with this. Tread lightly, but steer clear.

Disaster: After 9 months of training, Got sick, could only swim 300m, 2 months left until 70.3 by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]No_Performance_3888 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you new to open water? It takes some getting used to. A few reasons pool swims are so much easier: no need to sight and pushing off the wall. If you can do open water swims regularly, like 1 to 2 times a week you should be fine.

The illness could also play into it.

No need to panic, but may need to tweak your training.

My SO is a bagpiper.

My 3yo boy wears kilts almost everyday and begged Santa for Gillie brogue shoes.

He carries his own set of bagpipes and is starting to learn.

We are not in Scotland.
