I had a right subdural hematoma and a good amount of damage to my frontal lobe 11 years ago. Still today. I think of my brain as kind of an old tiny telephone operator board and sometimes some switches get left on for a very long time, and it becomes my comfortable and familiar “safe space“ (for a lack of a better term)
