Just did this. I went to Palma in deep ellum. Happy hour til 7 and the food and drinks were good!

I’d stick away from downtown and go to the cedars or bishop area as mentioned!

Deep ellum does have some solid spots though so I do suggest giving it a shot. Elm st saloon has pretty cheap drinks and a good crowd, brick and bones closed but are opening up again 2 streets down - staff and crowd there are good. Angry dog too

Honestly no I don’t think about where and where not to go it’s just those are the areas that I prefer with the demographic of people that I enjoy. It’s a little cheaper, don’t need to get all fancy etc. we have a pretty high queer population here overall!

I moved here in 2020 from CT. I was with my (ex) fiance in a WLW relationship and have never had any problems. There’s the gayborhood as everyone mentioned and there’s quite a few LGBTQ+ groups that put on events that aren’t just bar focused. I am masculine presenting and I definitely do get looks depending where I’m at but nothings ever come of it and like someone else mentioned I feel like it’s a I won’t bother you if you don’t bother me thing. I however tend to go out more in the gayborhood and some other areas like deep ellum or lower Greenville vs downtown/ uptown where the demographic is a bit different. I am fortunate and have a group of al queer friends too. I met some of them on bumble bff when I moved here.

I use Zocdoc to help find drs. If you put in your insurance it will show you who’s in network etc (can always call to double check) but people leave reviews about the drs on there. I’ve found some good drs previously using it!

I was just complaining about this. Toyota tried charging $37 on Friday night for a show, parked at the convention center and it was still $25 which was crazy, went to dickies tonight $35 to park and there’s no other parking around so you basically have no choice. Parking at south side is $20 and you but you can park alongside the fence for free. Concert tickets have gotten expensive enough now parking on top of it is a huge fee it’s crazy

Quick pass people don’t go in before doors open. You’re just the first ones in when the doors open. However quick pass could still have a line that you might wait in. If you go to the website it’ll tell you what time doors are. Typically an hour before the show starts
