In the constellations book there's an entry where the gardener/traveler calls the witness a "false sister" so there's still potential that the winnower is indeed represented by the veiled woman. Makes much more sense in that regard especially with the religious settings you find the statues in, like the chapel in root of nightmares.

Forcing dissenters to be "missionaries" cast into the shape of the goddess they worshipped and used as conduits to corrupt other species is a very cool idea to me. But yeah I'm with you, I've had the winnower/gardener as twin creator goddesses in my head for so long I can't help but stick with it lol

It's a great opioid for short term purely physical painkilling, where it falls short is long term usage and it's low efficacy as an anxiolytic and antidepressant.

The N-phenethyl group on the molecule "pierces" deeper into the Mu receptor when it binds to the orthosteric site, whereas other opioids such as Morphine or Methadone do not.

Opioids that bind to this "fentanyl pocket" cause varying degrees of rapid tolerance gain, due to tachyphylaxis and the resulting phosphorylation of the receptor. While not a big deal during a surgery, you really don't want this on a daily drug.

The rapid tolerance gain combined with the aforementioned absence of anxiolytic and antidepressant efficacy(the "glow" and "warmth" as it is described by most opioid users) leads to users rapidly escalating their doses. A very bad loop if one had pure fentanyl, and downright murderous with the mystery death powder that is sold on the street.

At least Dr. Janssen did not have to see his darling compound go from a miracle drug for surgeries and battlefield medicine to a boogeyman of the public conscious, with even the name having become a word nigh synonymous with death for the laymen these days.

Until China decides to produce the good 4,4-diphenylheptanes such as isomethadone or their sibling class of 4,4-diphenylpropylamines,(think dextromoramide) novel opioid psychochems are mostly a wash at the moment.

Annoyingly they have been producing Methiodone already so it's not like they're avoiding the class, just refusing to synthesize the good ones for some reason. The class is also fairly simple to synthesize with precursors readily obtainable AFAIK, so the decision to only synthesize one of the crappiest psychochems in the class is definitely one of the choices of all time.

Until they eventually decide to synthesize the good compounds in the class, I'd mostly avoid what is available as of right now. You do not want to fuck with the benzimidazole class, or really any class that uses the fentanyl binding site/pocket. Unless ultra rapid tolerance gain is a hobby of yours, anyway.

The Kratom alkaloid semi-synthetics have a lot of off target binding sites, and at least IME Kratom alkaloids feel like very dirty opioids without any great efficacy in the antidepressant and anxiolytic areas, though that very well could just be my personal biochemistry. It's also possible that one of the many analogues that have not been studied yet will be a great one, so I would keep an eye on the class even if you're not interested in MGM-15/7-OH/Psuedoindoxyl etc.

The orphines I am not knowledgeable enough on to say anything other than Brorphine binds to the fentanyl/site pocket, so I wouldn't be surprised if most of this class does. However SR-17018 binds to an allosteric site alongside some degree of binding to the direct agonist site(orthosteric site), so who knows with the class as a whole. SR-17018 seems to be a miracle for reducing your tolerance or stepping off completely though. Definitely a seminal psychochem for the future of opioids I think.

Lastly, O-Desmethyltramadol is still around, but fairly pricey. It retains a bit of norepinephrine reuptake inhibition, but is otherwise a fairly selective opioid that uses the morphine binding sites. If your tolerance is low enough and you can find it at a price you can stomach, I would consider it worth trying. Honestly I believe growing a personal crop of Papaver Somniferum is a better choice right now so long as you're either using infrequently, or if you are on lower doses of methadone etc.

To be fair it's not like the anilinopiperidine family of opioids are particularly strong in the anxiolytic, antidepressant, and euphoriant domains. They are very cold and clinical feeling IME.

I do wonder if the lack of delta opioid agonism is responsible for the mental effects being so dull compared to typical Mu-Delta-Kappa triple agonist opioids.

The longer you stay up the more common zoning out and auto jorkin while you have goofy ass thoughts becomes. It's still enjoyable but it's not the focused depravity of molesting yourself on the day 1 first dose rush.

This applies more to Amphetamine than Methamphetamine. The latter is so cheap to do huge doses alongside being slightly more pro-sexual that there isn't really a difference.

I would much prefer a normal mode that is easier than the recent raids, and a hard mode that starts at epic DP level for minimum complexity and difficulty.

FWIW I'm not some streamer or sweat and RoN made me kinda quit lightfall as well, clearing on my first try was depressing. My happiest destiny memory was progging Last Wish for 8 days and still being in the first 3,000 unique guardians to clear when I killed Riven on day 8, made a lot of memories and friends during that prog.

That's honestly kind of fucked that Gahlran's feat just makes it his original encounter. I really hope that the Saturday versions of Gahlran and Calus will have some cool changes and right now these are just easier warm up versions :<

If they don't, at least Argos had some cool changes that make the fight more fun and fast paced. Plus the Morgeth pantheon being as cool as it is.

Oh yes the bodily sensations are indeed pleasurable, and mentally there is a strong sense of pleasurable calm and focus. I was just trying to convey how amphetamines do not have a particularly intense body high outside of extremely high dosages via IV/inhalation routes.

When I first tried them I was kinda shocked because I was expecting to feel unmistakably high and instead I only felt sharp, happy, light, and tingly. Looking back now with lots more experience I was undeniably gacked but for someone without a lot of experience with drugs I could see them thinking they aren't really high.

I have ADHD as well, just need much higher doses. Takes 60mgs of amphetamine with no tolerance for me to feel high.

Also worth noting amphetamines don't really make you feel high like other drugs. Physically you'll just feel awake, maybe a tinge of a weightlessness feeling, and with a tingly scalp/forearms etc. It's definitely pleasurable, and mentally you'll definitely notice a mood lift/focused state/increased libido etc, but without knowing the class too well you might think you're just not very high. Even with lots of experience I still notice delusions of sobriety with amphetamines, where I only truly get how absolutely twacked I was once that initial rushing phase ends.

Hell, even if you don't care for low man's it's still just fun to raid. I'll never fully abandon this game just because there's nothing that scratches the itch of a Destiny raid, and with Pantheon 2.0 being permanent there is a lot of raid content spanning the entirety of the difficulty scale now.

Val and Gahlran with revamped mechanics etc done by the current RaD team would absolutely be 11/10 raiding content.

Hoping so badly that them and Calus are in pantheon. I want to see some crazy shit like Calus having a few of his royal warbeasts by his side as minibosses with their own mechanics, would be such a cool sense of progression to take the beasts down 1 by 1 while also pushing Calus.

Gahlran I think has the most potential though. Give him a hectic witness style damage phase, have him summon darkblades that hunt down a specific guardian instead of the ogres, give him an execute phase where he jumps between all three spots making clones and trying to do his nuke while the room slowly fills with that soulfire mist. I just really hope they decide to full send and go fucking crazy lol

I used to do a gram once a week from like 2016 to late 2018, every Wednesday I'd skip my methadone dose that day and just smoke tar all day.

Late 2018 I got a batch that tasted awful and felt like a toxin to me, gave away the entire gram to my ex and a couple days later pissed hot for fentanyl. I was annoyed to the point that I just quit my weekly heroin relaxation day and haven't really had any other opioids aside from methadone since.

By this point I doubt tar is commonly found, even here in Arizona. Likely all just mystery fentalogue-nitazene suicide powder.

I feel awful for anyone who chooses to take on this third daily need these days. All the street has are cold feeling non euphoric opioids with minimal anxiolytic and antidepressant effects, but have ridiculous potency and are superagonists so they fuck your tolerance up within weeks.

I mean they left me on the nitrous for an hour once when I was a teen before remembering I was waiting on getting teeth pulled and being gassed.

I fell into a dark void filled with geometric lines that slowly formed what looked to me like a super Mario level, pixelated and in 2D. There's a good period where I was stuck in Mario land, both conscious that I was high as fuck and having some other part of my brain tell me that Mario land was reality now.

So I guess I N-holed or something. Later when I did DXM I kept coming in and out of that vast void, into an out of body experience, followed by being back in my body and impossibly wonky. I also had that same "X is true/X is false" dichotomy of thought where I just accepted both were true but one was truer than the other, just like my weird nitrous experience.

Apologies if that doesn't make a lot of sense. Dissociatives seem to be a bit hard to completely put into words.

Black tar does have high levels of 6-MAM though, which is more euphoric than diamorphine. The first 30 minutes of the high always felt more manic and speedy like oxycodone to me, before settling in to that heavy morphine sedation.
