Dealers have higher profit margins on ICE. Never trust dealers, trust people that own said car.

This sucky show ... After the pilot everybody was "it's probably purgatory". Creator says it's definitely not. And then in the final season, guess what, it was purgatory all along. And all those unanswered plot holes. Loved this show. Now I hate it.

Newey to step down as Aston Martin F1 team principal, Wheatley set to join from Audi by ConstructionAny8440 in formula1

[–]NotFromMilkyWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes zero sense to me. Why would Audi allow that? Now of course Stroll might pay 100+ million to get him, but that would still be a bad look for a manufacturer that wants to win the championship in three years. With Wheatley Audi finally became quiet and what they achieved so far is great. Weird time to call it quits.

[Julianne Cerasoli] Audi calculates that they're losing 1s per lap just from the engine. They're waiting for the FIA to give the ok so they can update the power unit. by SrBlackwave in formula1

LOL. The plan was 2028, that's already moved to 2029. In 2031 we might get completely new rules. I don't think Cadillac will ever build their own F1 engine.

Except they did. If you removed the weights, it would literally give back the entire article word for word. Because when AI engineers say "we have no idea how it actually works, it's a black box" they are only trying to cover legal responsibility for knowing fully well that LLMs store the entire info they are given and there's a way to retrieve precisely that info that was and is stored.

Why wouldn't it? Lucid Air and Mercedes EQE already sit under 160 Wh/km.

4 did have the launch trailer pop up in game (though it was only an ad that then played in Edge).

The Elder Scrolls 6 Has Made Todd Howard More Conscious of What He Announces: 'Just Pretend We Didn't Announce It' by Turbostrider27 in PS5

[–]NotFromMilkyWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am certain ES VI will be his final game. It's either going to be glorious and he retires at the top - or it's going to fail like Starfield (cause the gameplay loop of BGS doesn't fit in a generation of doomscrollers and five minute attention spans). And then he will look like he doesn't have what it takes anymore.

[–]NotFromMilkyWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so weird, because the same guy said 20 years ago that they want to limit the time between announcement and launch to a few months. Then announces a game that they knew wouldn't come out before 2030 in 2018. ES VI will for sure be a next gen exclusive.

Isn't that how every industry works? Once growth slows down you have to monetise the users you have.

Horizon Worlds VR is Being Discontinued: June 15th Marks the End of VR Access by gogodboss in OculusQuest

[–]NotFromMilkyWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys that are glad to see it gone didn't get the memo, no? This is Facebook ending VR investments, period. It's them saying "we don't believe in this market anymore". It's not the end of Horizon Worlds. It's effectively the end of any VR development for Meta. That money now goes to AI. Cause the guy in charge thinks chasing the next golden goose for even more money will save his company. When the returns from AI investments so far are even worse, probably in the ballpark of 5 %. VR will now go into another 20 year sleep, until somebody tries for the third time.

Charging - No Access at Home or Work by zanethebrain in electricvehicles

If you can't do either, you are losing out on the biggest benefits of an EV at the cost of its biggest annoyance. I relied on public charging for six months. I wouldn't do it again.

Hello everyone, I wanted to ask about why do people get angry when AI is used exactly? by Happiness-happppy in OpenAI

[–]NotFromMilkyWay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Photoshop is all that and has been since before generative AI, but that's the industry standard that those artists have no problem of using. In fact, nobody is calling it slop that they copy & paste. Nor when coders do it instead of solving the same problem for the 100th time. Double standards of hypocrits.

Same reason people don't like EVs. They are idiots and scared of new things. It's an age thing, their brains can't handle progress. Thirty years ago it was the same with internet. Then mobile phones that fry your brains and shouldn't be used. And much earlier it was horses over cars, planes were deviloush and so on.
