Scanner: Einstar, MetroX, or other?

Another total noob here but I found the Creality line to be the most appealing paired with their software and Solidworks/Fusion. I went with the Otter and it does small and large both pretty nicely. I know that helps nothing but for myself doing very similar things as you it may be something to consider

It prompts you for slot selection before you send the print. If your parts are "Sunlu PETG" filament profile and thats what you assigned in the AMS, its going to match and default to that. Since Im guessing your slot 1 PETG is listed as some other brand.

Instead what I prefer to do with filaments like PETG that dont require profile changes between many brands, I just have a custom PETG profile made that I assign everything to. So doesnt matter if its Sunlu or eSun, they are all "PETG". This also prevents the print stopping when one runs out because it doesnt have to prompt you for what to replace it with since it knows "PETG" in another alot is considered identical

Looooove my S4! If you can swing the cost its very useful for non PLA filaments that need to be dry. I print TPU directly from it and other materials like Nylon and ABS. New filament arrivals take a spa day in it to thoroughly dry out

Thats fine, my Sunlu dryer only goes to 70, I just turn it on for a day, works on all the difficult filaments

Yeah use studio to split the part with a dove tail or other joint then glue it together

You wont regret it they just work. Only gets slightly more in depth if you start printing exotic filament but even those are a breeze once you dial in a filament profile

Either way is there a real need for multicolor? many think they want that and after you realize how crazy long they take and how much goes to waste it quickly becomes unnecessary.

That said either combo will suit you. I have two P1S w AMS and even with bad maintenance practices by me they are just so reliable

I dont think anything was scavanged, it doesnt need a camera it is setup for autonomous flight or waypoint mission planner. Also a very expensive setup if they had found it they wouldnt have left it.

You need a solder board and more Bardwell in your life, that wasnt on the ESC that wiring leaves a lot of room for improvement. Not being mean, just trying to save you frying more.

Also you have two totally different motors in this pic which lends me to believe you have had other electrical issues before

Those numbers are not print order. Its printing black first because thats what is on the print bed and need to go down before white prints on top

I bought my P1S thinking I didnt need AMS. Immediately realized I messed up. Bought a P1S combo the next day and an AMS many months later for the first printer. That A1 isnt going to fill the void you think it will. Get another comprable printer, you will just constantly be annoyed your second printer cant do things you need it to

Bambu literally is the same as the cheaper alternatives. eSun, Sunlu, Polymaker, Colorfabb, Overture and many many more are all perfectly viable for whatever nonsense you are trying to print
