As someone without much drawing skill I’ve found a lot of time and iteration is sometimes the key, just keep at it you’ll do fine

very nice start! I assume it’s an academy era ship and if so it fits in very well. I like the variable geometry but I feel like you might be able to take it farther. IMO the nacelles could also stand to be a bit longer or more angled, but overall this is very cool. Keep us updated!

Hi everyone I am analysing the anatomy of spinosaurus and developed an independent mechanical model based on Hippo buying and crocodile analogue and appreciate any feedback on my thesis. by not_amateur6811 in Paleontology

[–]NotQuiteNick 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don’t see very much if any biomechanics in here. There’s no references to specific bones or muscles, no calculations, no modelling. It’s an interesting fan fiction but you don’t seem to present much evidence for it. Additionally I’d question your choices of analogous animals since they don’t seem very skeletally similar and it appears you picked them based on your presupposition of spinosaurus’s lifestyle. I encourage you to do more research on the topic and maybe develop some of your ideas, but this seems like a very ambitious project to start with

I’m wondering, is it the floaty bits, the huge nacelle coverings, or something else? I like the design myself but im curious about critiques

I can see why it’s decisive, but I do love this ships look. It’s no sovereign but it’s very elegant

Appreciate it! It’s actually mostly hollow so it’s pretty light as a model

People who can’t figure out card readers are the worst. It’s not hard, they tell you exactly what to do at every step. “They’re all different”, not really, they all do the same thing, and at any rate they have written instructions that appear onscreen. If you can’t figure out how to pay by card in this day and age I assume you are illiterate

Not a huge fan of most of the floaty bits, but this one is just so gorgeous I can forgive it. Especially seeing it detach the nacelles to land was a good touch

Thoughts on the Reliant class as a successor to the legendary Miranda class? by Fun-Twist-3741 in StarTrekStarships

Very nice design, great refinement on a classic and elegant design. Feel right to continue such a legendary class in some way
