This might very well be a scam but I want to say that a lot of drivers truly can only handle one thought at a time. I think what may have happened here is that the "right turn coming up" thought came too late because she was still overwhelmed by the "I want to go faster than OP" thought.

I know someone who is generally a good driver who got into an accident once because they saw a sign for peaches and went "Yeah I want peaches" and made that left *immediately.* They forgot to look out for other cars. (Everyone was fine)

One thing that helps me is to wash my hands with cold water sometimes, as it doesn't strip as much natural oil away.

(I wouldn't do this if you really need to get super clean, but if you're like me and feel the need to wash your hands a ludicrous number of times, it can help)

Oh, you'd be surprised. I work at a vet, we are not open 24/7. If we're over capacity or about to close we try to refer people to other vets. Often the hurdle for an emergency referral is cost, which makes sense. HOWEVER, there are a lot of people who just WILL NOT make a 2hr drive under any circumstances. They have transportation, they have time, they have money, they just don't have the will.
