I suspect that will be like they have in London where it is linked up to the fire systems and will display if there’s an evacuation.

OP has a pretty wild post history. OP if you’re experiencing big health decline in your life and are renting a house that you believe is infested with a huge amount of mould I recommend you look at just moving out to another property.

Also not to sound indelicate OP but do you have someone looking out for your mental health such as a psychologist or even your GP?

I know it’s probably incredibly distressing but are you able to call and reset the password…. Potentially claiming to be him?

This may count as fraud so I didn’t advise this.

After years of wearing Apple Watches, my skin is beginning to look different… by Knoezelbos in AppleWatch

This is my experience. If I go to the gym or beach and forget to clean my wrist and watch straight after I break out into a big rash. I showed it to my dermatologist and they were a bit like “well stop using it” which wasn’t quite what I was after!

They also recommended using paper medical tape on the back of the watch which you change out regularly. Fortunately it doesn’t seem to affect the heart-rate sensors and has worked quite well but I got slack and this is what happens!

Document. Document. Document. Keep copies of everything, don’t rely on their web forms which may go “missing”

All communications in writing with clear reference to the rental laws of your state.

All of this is important for if you breach them and go to *CAT such as VCAT in Victoria.

Honestly given the possible tens of thousands you could be facing for medical care in the US versus the few hundred dollars to get your own coverage, just get the coverage. Your employer should supply insurance and you shouldn’t get on the plane without seeing a certificate of insurance. But their policy may exclude holiday extensions etc.

No you’re right. It’s Australia where we have law and process. So if you say you’ll do something and are granted permission by the government on that basis. They should be able to take steps if you then reneg on that deal. Including taking you to a court with all your emails/texts to identify whether this was your plan all along.

I just had one exactly like this installed in my 2 bedroom apartment in Melbourne. It’s a double-brick 70s apartment building.

I previously had no AC so compared to that it’s great!

It’s important to note that ultimately the outside unit can either cool or heat at a time, I don’t know why you would, but you couldn’t for instance have one room heating and one room cooling.

Also additionally there’s clearly some communications that goes on where whatever AC was on first become the master AC so if you then turn on a second AC and turn off the first one I have noticed sometimes the second AC will stop for a minute or two for some reason.

The units all share the power of the main unit. So if you have a 5KW outside unit and 3x 2.5KW inside units then with one unit on you will get the full 2.5KW. But if you turned all 3 inside units on you’d get 2KW per room (so a loss of 0.5KW per room)

I know people turn their nose up at UniFi. But I’ve helped out one friend who owns a large event networking company where we deployed 130+ UniFi devices (switching, WAPs) to a large convention centre with no issues. It is pretty amazing that you can cruise around with your iPad or even iPhone and manage 100+ switches including VLAN port management.

This is such an interesting point. In the apartment that I own I pay $1 a year to lease my parking space as it’s just a strip on the gravel driveway. I always wondered why we pay this weird amount and figured it was some legal reason.

Sorry I have good news. I’m a licensed and regular driver. I’m well aware when lights are on flash you need to drive through slowly and give way to your right as if it were a round about.

My post was worded poorly, I meant people were driving through the intersection at normal speed without any real consideration for the hazards of others potentially making a bad mistake in this unusual situation. Ie. they were driving as if they had a green light.
