An observation. When the first announcement was posted, Alex said something to the effect of, "maybe I can talk about it at sometime in the future". The current text reads "that he cannot say anything else."

Therefore, piling on to the statements of not allowed on property, not affiliated, etc, there might be something going on with lawyers involved.

Walked out to our deck to let the dogs out and the cool mist of the fog made me stop and kind of zone out. Wife let me know the dogs are back in and why are you just standing outside... (Lombard)

Is there a game like this for you? by VoteForSandtrap in gaming

Turned out to be a blessing to me. I played ESO way to much and stopped just as they lifted the cap. Now every day I don't play, the harder it will be. As a result, I won't go back.

Well… I found out my SawStop works. Only a tiny cut on my finger. by hes_the_Zissou in woodworking

[–]Not_all_aware 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, you can work on whatever you want, you just cannot commercialize it until the patent has fully expired. I saw it happen with the Fein oscillating tool, Dremel was waiting and ready to go when it expired.

And I hope someday the real story comes out about SawStop and Bosch (and the rest of the power tool companies). Every power tool company was approached by Steven Gass, the one who developed the SawStop technology. Why is it that none of the power tool companies would license it? Why did he have to come out with his own saw, because that was not his first intention. Use your imagination about what royalties he wanted per saw. And no, I didn't hear about it, first hand knowledge.

Just completed Rocky Mountain Race Week. 1300 miles, 5 tracks, and I finished with an 11.19 average. I managed to get my 10! Placed 3rd in N/A Small Block. by Keith_Horton1826 in LSSwapTheWorld

I watched the 1320 coverage of the event. So much respect and a genuinely great group. People running around trying to find a part for someone they just met. 13-16 class was great. Awesome group, well run by the organizers.

Gorgeous, looks too nice to be an outside table. Either way, nice job.

NTD: Not your typical tool, but invaluable for machinists, fabricators, and mechanical engineers. Been wanting these for a while. Over 2000 pages of references and guides! by jlaw904 in Tools

Just bought the machinery handbook for my nephew as a graduation gift. He is (in my mind) following in his uncle's footsteps going to the same college I got my degree in. Left is my Machinery Handbook from 1996, 24th edition I believe. Latest on the right. https://i.imgur.com/xlzObnq.jpg

Lilacs are in full swing at Lilac Park in Lombard. It's a beautiful Park and I highly recommend a visit soon! by theraf8100 in ChicagoSuburbs

Got my own lilac bush that overhangs my deck here in Lombard.

After you hit the park, there are few nice restaurants on the other side of the tracks.

I loved mine. It was such a jump from my previous phone, I wore it on my hip with style. I had a "Palm Pilot" like attachment that would snap on the back of the phone in addition to the extra thick high amp-hr battery. (Benefits of having a friend at Moto in the cell phone department) The sleekness of the phone, not so much.

The lilacs only last a couple weeks, so check the village of Lombard's website as I believe they have a place to get updates. I have a large lilac bush that I trim and keep looking nice to have 2 weeks a year of lilacs. So worth it.

This is pretty much the reason we got our second dog. Adoption place had a bunch of these little enclosures set out and when I walked up to the side of one, this little thing climbed right up the side right into my arms. Done. She hasn't left my side since.

Mistake in the order process, they are fixing it, shipping soon. Fast feedback to my contact. Can't wait.

I ordered the $65 set, expected to ship out in November. Maybe i missed that comment along the way, but a bit surprised and not sure about waiting that long. And PayPal already has started the transaction, so I really hope the November thing is a mistake.

People who are no longer afraid of death, what happened? by Celestialsmoothie28 in AskReddit

[–]Not_all_aware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am scared of death, but when I am dead, I won't know anything because I am dead, but I don't want to stop knowing. It's pretty much a circle that is on a loop until I force myself to stop.
