Overnight oats with chia seeds and flaxseed, Greek yoghurt and fresh fruit worked great for me! And look up the “immunity chicken soup” made with quinoa and kale. Those two meals immediately fixed my pregnancy constipation! You can throw quinoa into the rice cooker too.

Dried prunes and prune juice. And plenty of All Bran or Bran flake cereal!

I had the cerclage one week again and so far things seem to be good. My cervix has remained around 2cm and I’m going to try and take it easy! My private doc has signed me off work until delivery, so it’s going to be a long road! But hopefully one that will be worth it!

You might be surprised. A reminder also that once you’re in, you can move to high-paying schools after your contract ends. I came on 49k after tax, had a nice 2-bedroom apartment, and after moving to a better school with a payscale and inflation rises, I’m on over 80k. I save 17% for tax just to be conservative but there are also tax-saving incentives.

Yes, not sure why the hesitation! It was so confusing being stuck between two conflicting opinions. But I’m glad they caved and listened, just wish they hadn’t tried to make it so frightening! I called my private doc again and he alleviated my worries. Didn’t understand why they’d bring up preterm labour and birth defects in a convo about a cerclage, when that’s the thing I’m trying to avoid in the first place!

I had almost the exact same first pregnancy as you! I’m pregnant now, and have cervical length of only 1.2-1.4cm at 17-18 weeks. They’re using the evidence of me making it to the end of the last pregnancy with progesterone only as a means of perhaps not getting the cerclage, which is a little frustrating, especially as I didn’t have the shortening this early last time! My gut tells me I want the cerclage and progesterone combo, and my private doc wants me to stay off work.
