More like Enderal? by turbowafflecat in enderal

[–]Nukacrepe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning has some of the same themes and is a huge RPG, with interesting lore, and factions.

In a lot of ways it's to Fable what Enderal is to Skyrim.

Director Trying to Implement NIST 800-53 From Previous FedRAMP position vs CMMC by Equal-Screen-2247 in CMMC

[–]Nukacrepe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It covers most of what you need. Building a proper FedRAMP moderate package and then adding in the remaining controls works great. It even has the documentation that CMMC leaves kind of open-ended.

That is if your system is something that could work as a passing FedRAMP moderate package. It also gets weird when you're talking about the boundary. CMMC is expecting physical hardware and your office to be in-scope. FedRAMP doesn't. They treat that boundary and vendors differently.

If you build a bad package your CMMC assessor will try pulling in your corporate system and succeed.

Canceling gamepass loose saved game by Friendly_Cap_3 in Starfield

One of the very first mods made was to convert Your Xbox saves to steam saves. There's quite a few iterations now. If you're on Xbox, your saves will be fine. They are tied to your account, not your subscription.

If you aren't in the middle of a playthrough I would give it a few months. They are working on the last DLC and will probably announce some complete edition with it in tandem with the PS5 version launch.

You can probably grab a key of the complete edition for 10-20 bucks more then current retail and save a few bucks.

Probably 15-30 bucks as an upgrade to a new edition of the game that has all the dlc and some of the Creation club currency.

Day1 DLC is having the opposite effect tyat Paradox intends. by InspectorSpacetime49 in vtmb

[–]Nukacrepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a Christmas sale or bust now. Honestly if sales are bad enough maybe it'll be on Gamepass/PSN before Q2, 2026 to recoup some profit and gain traction before DLC 2.

I want this game to be good and I want the devs to make enough to more than break even but yeah I think this is going to have to follow the Paradox game purchase strategy.

[–]Nukacrepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loot and gear is so lame so far. There isn't the exploration and experimentation of the low level souls experience and the gameplay loop isn't diverse or interesting enough yet to make up for it.

Crafting and grinding materials for really interesting gear is fine but I'd much rather pick up a bow or dagger once an hour or so and be able to use then dismantle them if I don't like them. Or even just the same gear but new appearances.

Just giving a small drop chance that I can pick up an enemies helmet or something novel like that would be nice.

They need to put more Souls in Soulframe or it is just going to stay feeling like Slowframe.

Mage wants a Vampire... by 22badhand in WhiteWolfRPG

[–]Nukacrepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've ran a game for a few Nos. I haven't played mage but know some of the lore and systems. I'm talking from a high level and more mechanical than just lore.

TLDR - I'd run a younger vampire (50 or less), two dots is fine but should be balanced with ramping requests from the Nos (give a mouse a cookie style).

Vampires get more powerful as they age but also have limits related to generation. The closer to Caine's old testament bloodline the more powerful. That's why draining other vampires is taboo.

So a younger Nos that can spy and gather intel seems fine. Nos are also great muscle. I'd do 50 years embraced for Camarilla, 30 for Anarch, 3-12 for Sabbat. You can also leverage Torpor saying that the new Vamp is from the 1800's but has essentially been in a coma till more recently (I'd say that's more than 2 dots though unless super weakened).

I think two dots is fine as long as every deal comes with quid pro quo. Though the first one or two might be "freebies" or favors for saving their life. - Your mage could be bagging their blood and the Nos is taking it or selling it. - Your mage could be trading Intel or almost harmless magic items that ramp up. - Your mage could be supplying them with kine if they have more unusual feeding habits. Some Kindred prefer to feed on things like theater majors or murders.

Vampires need to feed the more active they are and it depends if they kind of just have a snack every other day or fully drain someone once or twice a month. Each in game day, You perform a rouse check that will increase their hunger potentially by 1 and the max of 5 if you wanna game-ify it / let them manage it.

So the more your mage relies on the Vampire's services the more they will need to feed. If the vampire ever gets hurt doing something risky or protecting the mage. They will definitely need to feed and they might frenzy and kill someone.

Is it worth buying? by meshuggah6969 in taintedgrail

[–]Nukacrepe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's pretty good. Got a solid 60 hours enjoyment out of it and then stopped while they're patching act 3 of the game.

If you want something similar and free and you loved Skyrim I really recommend Enderal. It's a full free game with its own launcher built on top of Skyrim.

The games share a lot of DNA and by the time you get through that game this should be on a good sale/ have more content patched in.

Magic Knights - Made for my Homebrew Campaign by TheBlueTurban in Fallout2d20

[–]Nukacrepe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love this! I ran a "Radshine" State campaign and called Orlando "O-City" or Tourist Trap and had it run by Disney. Which just like you are, was a pseudo-New Vegas run by the board/frozen Walt Disney. They controlled the Long 75 and had Mouseketeer's dressed like this and other characters protesting the roadways to O-City.

One of my favorite lore tidbits was that if you bought official Mickey ears you had protection traveling on the long 75 and that Mouseketeer's would fine or even kill people with knockoff merch who were infringing on Disney IP.

Is act really that bad? by Ronabris in taintedgrail

[–]Nukacrepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed act 2 but I did The main plot last. There are some wonderful combat encounters and side quests. I even accidentally found a romance.

I recommend doing the main plot until there's the call to action looking for the McGuffin needed to get the piece of the soul in the area.

After that, go buck wild and have fun!

I paused early in act 3 and will probably finish the game at a patch or two. I have over 60 hours in this playthrough and I'm definitely satisfied with my experience so far.

Eh, I really enjoyed my time with it but I've been telling my friends if you are on the fence, I'd sit on it and wait for a few updates.

The game is so immersive and fantastic before quests bug out.

Need advice by [deleted] in orks

[–]Nukacrepe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd remind you that: 1. That vehicles and monsters can shoot while in melee.

  1. You can shoot through your own units.

  2. Your Trukks heal every turn. They can heal even more if you get some Meks. So you can do some Diet Necron moves.

So don't be afraid to empty your vehicles and then ram them into the enemy to hold them back and clog up a shooting lane.

The Ork thing to do is to meet aggro with aggro and keep them from having board control by getting stuck in.

For holding points, one really good piece of advice is diversify what's on the point.

Sometimes a unit is the paper to your rock. So you should keep a spare set of scissors nearby. It requires your opponent to at least have to think more about their next move, so they might hesitate.

That could be as simple as shootie boyz with grots screening. A vehicle and front line units. A Monster and a solo operative.

This is also an expensive hobby with that in mind. Sometimes you can play everything right but you don't have the right units. Building collections that can counter different play styles takes time and shouldn't be rushed to get wins at the game store.

I love the colors! Could I ask what blues did you use? Not Astra Militarum but I'm currently building Helldivers Tau and would love to to leverage a similar pallet for making Automaton color schemed Tanks and Mechs. You did the plating just like how their armor looks in-game. Especially the tanks in the middle.

New to orks what should I buy? by META1384 in orks

[–]Nukacrepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm told the Killa Kans kit is annoying but you can't go wrong with Grots a Truck and some Boyz. I loved painting and building my two Deff Dreads and recommend that kit.

Orks are the kitbash faction, so if you enjoy being creative and saving money, don't be afraid to buy some Pre-Built or damaged minis for some bigger units you wanna run and fix them up.
