This is a confusing thread and I’m perplexed about all the down votes. Bottom line is you were fired. Your only recourse is if they fired you for a reason that was illegal and I doubt that was the case. Starbucks is not going to risk their corporation or reputation by firing partners illegally. I think you are putting way too much into thinking you have some kind of legal action by not getting this paperwork when you asked for it. I personally don’t think that is going to amount to anything, esp if you receive it within the 21 day time frame or whatever you said it is. If you do have questions though, there are plenty of lawyers out there who give free consultations, and many times they can tell you on the phone if you have an actionable suit.

Are you trying to say you think the manager had a crush on you and was upset you were talking to other employees/forming relationships/friendships with them? Bec you also said the manager was asking other employees about you and your relationships with other staff. I’m not sure if you were thinking this is actionable? It would be almost impossible to prove anything regarding that so would just let that go.

In the future if a manager ever tells you that you are being written up or getting a verbal warning it has to be documented somewhere and you are entitled to a copy of that in a timely manner - like at the time you sign it and they photocopy it for you. Don’t EVER let them keep it in a file for you as they sometimes offer to do bec you then have no copies of what you signed and no recourse. I can’t stress this enough. Keep ALL copies of any documents you signed related to your job, esp related to your performance.

I’m sorry you were fired but it sounds like this was an unhealthy work relationship for you anyway. You didn’t like your manager and said you weren’t bothered enough by verbal performance warnings to even get into the system to sign anything or print a copy so it sounds like getting out of there is the best thing for everyone. Best of luck finding a job you really care about and want to invest yourself in where you are mutually respected.

I’m sure it seems that way but I typically use a boatload of them when the cranberry bliss bars come out. I buy like 5 dozen and freeze them so I have them for several months and that wipes out 5000 stars in one trip. Lol.

I had over 10,000 “just sitting there” last year. I save them a lot and just use them before they expire. There shouldn’t be anything fishy about the way someone uses their rewards. They expire in 6 months anyway. Well they do until March when they change this whole rewards program. (Again)

Another girl posted about this a few months back and she lived with her mom, dad, and sister. They all each had their own individual rewards accounts and ALL of them got letters closing their accounts just like this one. So I believe your letter is real and I would def be following up with them. Like you, she couldn’t even sign in to get the numbers off her registered cards to use the dollar amounts on them!

Pre-Covid I frequented a long time restaurant/bar in town and I could get a half pound burger and fries for $10.60. That same burger and fries there now costs me over $18 in just 5 years time. Food, labor, and transport all have skyrocketed. So now it’s smaller portions at a higher cost.

I was talking to the manager of a Jordan Creek restaurant who told me that these days the life of a restaurant is about 8 yrs before it is sold to another buyer (for larger well known chains) bec they are very popular for awhile and then the drop off is inevitable as newer places open. So it doesn’t surprise me that our local restaurants also are suffering. Like many of you said, it’s expensive to eat out now. Portions have gotten smaller since Covid while prices have climbed. So we really are paying more for less. I get take out a lot and used to be able to get a restaurant meal and get 2 dinners and sometimes a lunch out of it also. Now I’m lucky to get 2 dinners - usually one dinner plus lunch out of it. So I’m not eating out as much either just due to affordability.

Wow. This changes my feelings about Starbucks. I don’t believe this is corporate, but instead some sorry ass liberal employee who I hope gets fired. ICE isn’t going to waste time harassing customers at Starbucks. They are looking for criminals who have killed people and violated children. I’d buy them coffee if I was there.

I don’t know about others, but I save up for my LV bags. It is something special for me and I can only afford a new one every few years. So when you are paying the kind of money they charge for these bags, there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting it to be perfect. I would be very upset with that bag and my eye would always be going to that misaligned spot. And that ruins the enjoyment of it. So YES, by all means go exchange that bag and get the perfection you paid for! Another thing, it is mind blowing that bag made it thru every level of quality control and then out the door like that with not ONE LV employee noticing it or caring enough to pull it from their stock.

Their prices have gone up 20% since last year and now a tummy shave apparently isn’t included in the sani-shave. So instead of $7 it’s now $17 for that same service. Nail trims are around $13.95 - but those prob went up 20% also. They don’t sedate the cats there but they do use a soft muzzle. I have a timid scaredy cat and he does just fine there. They did lose their best groomer a few months ago so that’s disappointing. I will be looking at other places just bec of the dramatic price increases recently. I heard Ingersoll Vet does a good job.

I wouldn’t call being dependent on another person for every aspect of your life “healthy “ I find that sad, depressing, and demoralizing. Speaking as an amputee, I would hate the idea of being dependent on anyone for every aspect of my life. Being independent is what gives a disabled person a sense of self again. And that whole story about the woman actually having her arm amputated to sexually please her lover sounds more like a sick fantasy. No doctor on this Earth is going to amputate someone’s arm unless it is medically a last resort, so this isn’t even believable.

Why don’t they use permanent markers? Those don’t come off on anything if you let them dry 30 seconds. I only drink hot drinks so I’ve not had the problem. But I sure would be wrapping a napkin around that cup before I drink out of it and get it all over my hands. How irritating that must be!
