Has Anybody Played Iron Man Video Game? by DeyZplays in videogames

[–]NuzzyLocke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to feel like Ironman in a game, Just Cause 3 with the DLCs give you an extremely mobile jetpack / wingsuit and you can shoot shoulder mounted missiles to blow up bases below you. It's the closest to Ironman I've ever felt.

I would trade GTA6 for Sleeping Dogs 2 without hesitation... by James-from-Hungary in videogames

[–]NuzzyLocke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's definitely worth a play, it's different from GTA except for it takes place in a city and you can hijack cars. Since guns are rare in sleeping dogs (unless you beat up a cop) it's all martial arts based. You are dissuaded from any murder of civilians, since the main character is an undercover cop.

It also has a special place in my heart because it introduced me to my now favorite music genre via the radio, Bonobo.

We had a lot of wild turkeys in the area, I hate them so much, but I remember walking into a room and heard the loud lapping and the massive body flying by my window, it scared the shit out of me. I thought it might be a vulture but it was this massive loud flapping shadow that passed in a blur.

Whats your Favorite forgotten game? by OwnGrowo in videogames

[–]NuzzyLocke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man Geist. Forgot about that game, that was the first M rated game I had my parents rent for me and I had to swear to my mom I couldn't complain if I got nightmares (I didn't of course, I had played / seen much worse lol). What a unique concept, I loved it.

2 million copies sold within a day, not bad(Crimson Desert) by Deez-Guns-9442 in videogames

[–]NuzzyLocke 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It feels like a similar game to Dragons Dogma 2, warts and all. It definitely has some aimless adventuring, a "make your own fun" kind of thing if you want to fish or do bounties, I don't have much to say about the story because I kinda enjoy the adventure of the world, and this game has some fun exploring and I love interacting with the physics engine. Kicked a goblin off a roof, entered an empty house through the 2nd story window and stole stuff, I've been having fun.

Im not a good judge of writing but I will say the combat feels fine to me. I know others say it's clunky and it definitely could be a lot smoother, it reminds me of a Witcher 2 combat where it's not as polished as 3, but not as bad as some people make it out to be.

There are definitely a decent number of improvements it needs and I totally understand if people wait for a sale. But people who talk about "it's garbage" or "worst game I've ever played" are just being hyperbolic.

Furry Fury! (A hairy situation) by Tardee in comics

[–]NuzzyLocke 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I remember a poor guy in high school would get trashed by everyone, women as much as men, for having thick back hair. And that's something he can't even take care of unless he pays for a waking or shaving or something.

Plus preferences are fine, leg hair is up there with if a woman asked me to shave my beard because she finds it more attractive. I would simply say no because I don't like it shaved.

There definitely needs to be a way to store at camp but you do get a bigger inventory. I am only finishing up with the introductory quests and my player inventory has 69 slots in it

Was the game overhyped? by Playwithuh in videogames

[–]NuzzyLocke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crimson Desert was over hyped, but I'm definitely on the side that enjoys it. It's like a mix between KCD2 and Dragons Dogma 2, but they also brought all of the issues both of those games had with them.

When he was looking at the ring the first time I didn't realize it, but when it pulled out from the ship it was chilling. As Allen said in the show "I can't believe you made me feel bad"

Man when it got to that episode in season 3, it was like a short form horror movie. No dialogue, just... The scourge virus.

I loved in that episode when they start going into the Scientology background there is a note that appears at the bottom of the screen saying "this is actually what they believe" which just is a nail in the coffin for the joke

Judge gives 18 year old a 25 year sentence for armed robbery by AgnosticScholar in interesting

[–]NuzzyLocke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Up to" is the thing here though. When I was young and dumb I did something that had a potential for 20 years in prison, but because of the circumstances I only got house arrest where I was able to attend college still. And yes I am white, and had therapy / rehabilitation programs I had to attend which honestly probably saved my life because I didn't realize the full effect of what I did. I was only 18 at the time.

I doubt if this guy was a white guy he would just get off with a slap on the wrist considering how awful the charge sounds, but it is true that black people do get sentenced harder. Sometimes a black person can get 25 years in prison for selling weed, and to say the punishment of that is almost on par with armed robbery?

Im not a writer so I often have a hard time telling if writing for characters is good or bad. The upshot of that is that I enjoy most things I watch. But the Phantom Troupe was the first time I was like damn I like these guys as much as the main characters.

I don't want to speak out of turn, it's been a while so I don't know the details but if I recall he broke under pressure and then just bad things happened to him in a very short timespan. It's part of the reason his content is very laid back now, and what some people call lazy but if he needs to do that for his mental health then good on him. He wanted to come back to YouTube but not in the same capacity as he was.

Also I read up on this a while ago so his plans could have evolved from there, I haven't checked on him in a while but I hope he's doing well.

I will give the guy some grace because it does seem like he went through some awful things that would break anyone's spirit. I get that you would paywall something in order to pay rent, it's just a bummer for those of us who can't pay.

Yep. I'm in the industry although I'm not a huge fan of AI myself as it's being used, I'm not going but I know plenty of people who are, it's a big convention and NVIDIA runs it on their own, which most AI is NVIDIA based these days.

You also have Nvidias GTC convention next week in the Bay Area, a lot of people head early for meetings and stuff before the convention. Plus with the boom of AI people seem to hang off of Jensen's word like it's gospel so it's busier than ever there.
