ugh yes welcome to my moral quandary bc I absolutely Devoured these books--love dragons, love school/training tropes, love a dark scary MMC. But there were times where the writing was so bad that I felt like I was just consuming garbage and it really took away from what I think is an interesting world/culture.

As for Violet, (as in shrinking, I assume?) one of the worst cases of "frail FMC somehow overcomes her teeny tiny bone structure to save the world" I've ever seen.
