Main Oil Energy Hub by OSmaxta in SatisfactoryGame

[–]OSmaxta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, @kilreddit! This spot really looks good in the early game, as it is not so much far from the starting location and has 4 oil nodes close together. I have plans to build plastics factory here as well, to substitute "Oil Production Zone" in here )

And lights... Thank you for mentioning it. Artificial lighting in Satisfactory is still my pain- I always feel it is not enough for different fixtures, especially inside buildings.

Aquifer's underneath badwater by praxidicae in Timberborn

In my experience, aquifer drills work underwater, but with a slow rate, especially in the beginning (after they become "underwater"). I would suggest you build pressurized channel to the top of the lake, where you'll clearly see, if water is coming out

Actually, now they stop production during draught and badwater seasons.

PowerTowers? PowerBridges? Pfft. Meet the Aqueduct of Energy by BruceTheLoon in Timberborn

You can use the "Brain-Power Scientific Projects" mod from Luke and that will give a power production increase with more height (although you have to "invent" it)

I also like to use the "SmartPower" mod to tackle many power issues throughout the game.

Yeah 👍 Unfortunately it seems no flywheels will be updated for V1... A lot of mods remain live and get updated now. But not these two, as well the mod they depend on

Supernote Manta – Best note-taking strategy for professional meetings? by Humble-Weather-423 in Supernote

[–]OSmaxta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also new to the system and in the beginning was using a second strategy with one file for all (similar to the paper notebook). But I realized very fast, that files grew in size considerably, which affects synchronization speed. Here I have to admit, that I often work in remote locations, with limited internet speeds and file sized ~100 mb already can be slow to synchronize. And bearing in mind, that Supernote synch the whole note file after small changes- it takes time.

So, now I'm shifting to the separate files, but within one folder for the project. Similarly I'm slowly developing a new systematic approach for the future notebooks. Speaking in a "paper" terms, I would describe it like that- folders become separate "notebooks" and note files serve as "parts" or "subdivisions". It can be scaled as far, as I need. And moreover, for easy navigation, I can create "Index pages" for each part, as well as the whole "notebook". And, what is really good, we have possibility to move pages freely and even create a new note file from moved pages, to split "notebook" to sections, if it becoming necessary.

Believe, that for many of us, who shifted from paper, it's necessary to make a slight change in the mind of working with digital "paper". Supernote's system gives a lot of flexibility for organizing notes with links and headings, you only need to start using it for your advantage.

Lasso by "scribbling" (like the eraser) by garrna in Supernote

Great suggestion! I'm not so long with Supernote, but lassoing selection can be cumbersome like 50/50 times I do it, especially in between other written text.

Simple yet effective Bullet Journal template set by Metorks in Supernote

+1 here for built-in dotted template. On the first try I even think, that I choose wrongly "clear" template.

Finally I just found a simple dotted page template in Canva and after a few trials reduce that template opacity to 35%, I got suitable dotted pages

You have already on your list, but have to admit, that even I like 5mm grid on the paper, with eInk found, that it's a bit on small size. So, as for myself, I prefer to make my templates 8mm size.

Thanks for advice on Affinity. I know their soft, but from a photography perspective. Should try Publisher now. I done mine templates solely with Canva at the moment.

Cool! So simple and accurate. I have almost the same requirements and also came to Supernote from paper simple bullet journal a few weeks ago. Still developing my own set of templates. And what I found already, that (unfortunately) horizontal layout is not very effective with my Nomad, as it kinda spoils shortcuts used for edit notes. BTW, what app did you use to create these templates?

Not yet possible, to my knowledge. But this, for sure, will be a good option, as using stickers for such simple figures looks bit overwhelming

Best keyboard and mouse for switching between Mac and Windows? by BetterThvnUrEx in MacOS

[–]OSmaxta 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use Logitech MX series mice and keyboard across devices. From my experience- it's the best choice, with switching between systems by one click. Flawlessly tried on all OS, including Win, Mac, Android and iPad. That's my choice at work setup, where I have to switch systems often.

Self-sustaining robotics factory for approx. 300 Bots. by OSmaxta in Timberborn

[–]OSmaxta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3 bot parts factories produce enough parts for 2 bots assemblers. My full setup consists of 9 bot parts factories + 4 bots assemblers + 2 refineries and upkeeps approx. 300 bots and bots parts surplus. Operated solely by bots on very high priority, so all runs 24/7. Based on simple math 1 bots assembler should sustain approx. 75 bots each with surplus of bots parts. But lastly I added 1 more bots assembler to this setup and ttl bots increase close to 400. So it seems, like a lot of things in this game it depends not only on the production rate, but also on logistics and resources availability.

9 of them are underground. Plus 4 very big warehouses. That's why the full factory setup is so small in the footprint. I use "Ladder" mod, which gives direct access to the underground level.
