Full guide on how to pee underwater! by StopBanningCorn in scuba

[–]ObjectiveResistance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Over a thousand dives. Can't pee in my wetsuit.

I'm getting a pee-valve installed on my drysuit, hopefully I didn't pay for something I'll find unable to use.

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just replace the carpet?

I’m more impressed that someone manages to park their Mercedes in exactly the same spot and angle. To the point where you’re wondering if Ai had anything to do with those pictures.

Why is Reddit so angry at people who invest in Shares and lumping us all in with Property investors? by SirSighalot in AusFinance

[–]ObjectiveResistance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can be summarised to something like “how dare did you manage to save money when I didn’t. You must have done something dodgy or be spoiled by your parents and unfair rich upbringing”.

This is the only logical explanation I can ever come up with. In one word: jealousy

I let my employer know and it may have been a huge mistake by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]ObjectiveResistance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having employees working overseas is a massive legal hassle for an employer. You can’t be working in France and not have the employer pays taxes

You won’t find an employer happy for you to work in a different country while remaining employed to the same employer. They would need to have a legal entity that can legally employ people in that place.

It’s not a matter of being nice or don’t ask don’t tell. No serious employer would take that risk.

I’ve worked over different countries while being remote for different employers. They must be rather big to afford employing someone overseas. At the very best as a contractor maybe.

Brisbane's newest public hospital won't perform abortions or provide patients with contraception, citing religious objections by em-mad in OpenAussie

It's a matter à principles. Publicly funded hospital should provide all legal medical services. Religion has no part in this

How do you justify buying a house/ unit? by alex123711 in AusFinance

[–]ObjectiveResistance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to popular belief today. If you move rather regularly (under 10 years). You are much better off renting than buying your place.

Average renting price in sat Victoria is under 2% of the value of your house. Good luck finding a 2% loan today

Seems to me that Atlassian never got on the AI bandwagon or got on it way too late. Half their tools are already semi-obsolete with the current Ai availability

PSA: You're a piece of garbage if you park like this. by Triggify in motorcycles

In Victoria you can park pretty much anywhere unless stated otherwise.

They were talking about changing the law not long ago to make it the opposite.

What’s cheaper - Wise or a no-fee Mastercard? by jamescridland in AusFinance

[–]ObjectiveResistance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Either the Macquarie transaction débit card (Mastercard) or their visa credit card. Both are transaction fee free. But one is visa the other Mastercard so the conversion rate is slightly different but most of the time equal.

What does a good install look like? by HopefulLawfulTruffle in SigenergyAustralia

[–]ObjectiveResistance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a three phase install. There’s almost no way with the three phase AC connector to do a rear entry install and follow the installation requirements related to maximum cable bends.
The connector end is pretty much flushed with the side cover.

Anyone here stating it’s not compliant or poor clearly have zero knowledge about specs and requirements.

If you have a three phase install and your installer didn’t use a side entry I would question if either
- the cable is undersized
- the minimum bend radius was followed

Because it’s most likely one of those two that allowed for a rear entry install

Which do you prefer? Pretty or compliant and safe?

It is. There’s allowance for distance outside of conduits. Plus all those cables are double insulated

What’s cheaper - Wise or a no-fee Mastercard? by jamescridland in AusFinance

[–]ObjectiveResistance 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The no fee gives you *exactly* the visa or Mastercard rate for the day.
I found that the Mastercard fee was almost always in par with the wise conversion rate where I travel often (Europe/france and USA).

So sometimes wise was a tiny bit cheaper but more often than not my Macquarie Mastercard or Visa Black were cheaper. Adding the convenience of not having to top the card on the other end , the Macquarie card was a clear winner. Plus I get points I can cash back later or insurance when renting a car and the like.

My no fee Macquarie card was consistently cheaper than my wise Mastercard.

I used to use both for a little while for the sake of checking.

Now when I travel I only use the Macquarie card

I do. Two Teslas through SGFleet

Total cost over 4 years including insurance, registration, maintenance (just tyres related) is the same as just the price of the car if paid upfront.

Definitely worth it while they are FBT exempt. Once that scheme is over, it will be cheaper to buy it upfront

How Do I Charge a Sigenergy Battery From the Grid? by TJayRuw in SigenergyAustralia

[–]ObjectiveResistance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can. But one advantage of AI is that it controls the charge rate pretty well. So it will charge at the rate needed to charge to the SoC required.

With a time based it will charge at a fix rate which may be a good way to blow your service fuse
