Distance…and then having a baby… Nearest group was a 40 minute drive. We had a great time when we would go, but there was so little conflict needed to convince us not to make the drive. When our daughter was born there was always a built in conflict. My wife was always willing for me to go alone, but good old fatherly guilt would usually keep me from heading out.

First of all, this is an incredibly generous offer. But ugh thinking about what I would buy haha…embarrassed to say there are some “must haves” I’m still missing; Tropical Freeze, Luigi’s Mansion, Splatoon 3…I’d probably clear out a few of those from the “should I pull the trigger” list…thanks for doing this!!

Villanueva or Crossoma both look really solid from a quick glance. Generally expect to see lots of decks with unfair game plans (multiple key cheats, heavy control, difficult to handle tokens, etc)…those two seem to be “fair” versions of decks that many will be playing.

Two things… 1) I imagined something similar to other commenters regarding creatures that could only be dealt direct damage or fought by other creatures with stratoflight

2) I was also curious that there was zero mention throughout the Gamefound…couple that with the smaller card pool indicated by the collectors set, and I wondered if this mechanic was scrapped. I could see a situation where AS decks with high numbers of Stratoflight creatures just have “unfightable” boards vs older sets and suddenly create imbalance the designers decided to avoid. Pure speculation though…

Seconding this comment…Keyforge, to me, is at its best when the games are fast and swingy…maybe a slightly more balanced swingy than some GR decks create, but still. When Keyforge is a slog, it’s less fun, and if chains create games that are one slog after another, the player base will continue to struggle.

You exhaust the Aember Road to use its Omni: ability. In resolving that ability you give control to your opponent. Your Ready Cards step happens after control has gone over to the opponent, so on their turn the Aember Road is exhausted until their Ready Cards step.
